Who Is The AntiChrist? Answered.

Who Is The AntiChrist? Answered.

By: Brandon T. Ward

Who is the Antichrist? This is an extremely important question for these end times. If you do not understand who the antichrist is, you are already setup for deception.

The antichrist (not the “type” as spoken of in John) will not be born in the flesh. The antichrist is a supernatural being who will be cast out of heaven onto earth by Michael the archangel. The antichrist will claim to be Jesus Christ. The antichrist is Satan himself.

Let us now remove the veil of darkness and confusion that has clouded this topic and shed the light of God’s Word onto it whereby we can remove all doubt.

Before we start our Bible study, let us ask our Father for wisdom and understanding of His Word, in Jesus Name amen.

First, let us take the word “antichrist.” “Anti” is word 473 in your Strong’s Concordance and it means “opposite” or “instead”. Instead of what? Instead of “Christ” (5547: anointed, the Messiah). So we need to understand Satan is the false messiah who appears first “instead” of Jesus Christ.

With that having been said please turn your Bible to,

Revelation 12:7
7 “And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,”

This verse describes the powers of heaven being shaken (Matthew 24:29), which occurs when Michael and his angels fight against the Dragon and his angels. The Dragon mentioned here is Satan himself which we will document shortly. This is when Satan is cast out of heaven and will physically appear here on earth claiming to be Jesus Christ. Pay close attention here! Satan does not arrive alone, he is kicked out with his angels.

Revelation 12:8
8 “And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.”

Satan and his angels are officially cast from heaven onto earth. This is the start of the Tribulation, which is a time of trial, a test to see who will stand with God and against, “The Instead of Christ,” who is Satan.

Revelation 12:9
9 “And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”

This should make it very clear who we are talking about at this point. God gives us several of Satan’s names so we are not confused. Do not read over that verse, Satan and his angels are cast out of heaven. So not only will Satan who is supernatural be present on earth, but so shall his fallen angels who are supernatural as well. Their goal is to deceive the whole world, to make the inhabitants of the earth believe that Satan and his angels are Jesus Christ and His angels who have come to restore the Kingdom of Heaven. But it is a lie!

Revelation 13:1
1 “And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.”

Now understand in the book of Revelation there are two different beasts described. Stick to God’s Word and it will make complete sense. This first Beast spoken of here is Satan’s Governmental Beast, the future One World Government (Note: The waters in this book are people, Revelation 17:15).

Revelation 13:11
11 “And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.”

We now have a second beast who is Satan, remember he is the Dragon of Revelation 12:9. We are told he has two horns like a lamb, but speaks as a Dragon. The Dragon gives the first Governmental Beast “his power, and his seat, and great authority” (Revelation 13:2).

Satan is coming as the antichrist, “The Instead of Christ” as we learned earlier. He possess supernatural powers and will be exceedingly convincing. So much so he will deceive the world making them believe he is the lamb as Jesus Christ is the Lamb that was slain on the cross for our sins.

We must comprehend the fact that Satan is an imitator, he has copied the majority of Christ’s names. Satan will be imitating Christ in order to deceive the whole world into believing that not only has God returned to the earth, but He has brought His Kingdom as well (Revelation 12:9, II Thessalonians 2:4). When in reality that kingdom (Governmental Beast) will be led by Satan (Dragon) and his fallen angels. As 2 Corinthians 11:14 documents, “And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.” This word “transformed” is Strong’s word 3345 and it means “disguised”. Satan comes disguised as an angel of light, disguised as the very Lamb of God. Satan has always wanted to be God as we will document later in this study.

Satan is “deception” therefore he has many different names and titles. In the book of Daniel he is known as the “little horn” and the “vile one” to name a few. In Revelation he is known as the “beast”, “dragon” and the “false prophet” which we will finish documenting shortly.

Speaking of deception, do not be fooled into picturing Satan as a red colored beast with horns and a pitch fork. God’s Word describes Satan as perfect in beauty Ezekiel 28:12-19.

Revelation 13:12
12 “And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.”

The Dragon accomplishes this through deception with his supernatural abilities, he is the one who heals the wound of the Beast Governmental System (Revelation 13:3-4).

Revelation 13:13
13 “And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,”

Friends, no man can do this. If you are expecting a man claiming to be God you will be deceived. Not only will Satan act like Jesus, but he will exercise supernatural powers which are sure to make men bow before him due to their ignorance of God’s Word. Satan accomplishes these miracles IN THE SIGHT OF MEN. Not in secret, we all will witness these events.

Revelation 13:14
14 “And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.”

Pay close attention here. God’s Word will document very easily Satan is the “false prophet”. How did the Dragon deceive the world? By the miracles that he had power to do in the sight of the beast. With that thought let us turn to,

Revelation 19:20
20 “And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.”

This is describing exactly what we just learned in Revelation 13:13-14, only we are given the role of Satan in this chapter rather than his name, the Dragon. These are in fact the same entities, they are just given different names for the different roles Satan plays. If you did not catch it, read it again, this is extremely important!

Satan wrought these miracles before the entire world and deceived the inhabitants of the earth by these miracles. This account in Revelation 19:20 occurs right after the Tribulation when Christ is present on earth. The “Beast” (Satan’s One World Governmental System) and the “false prophet” (Satan’s Antichrist role) are now cast into the lake of fire.

Revelation 20:10
10 “And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.”

This verse transpires after the 1000 year millennium with Christ when Satan will be loosened from the pit for the last time. However, he cannot use the Beast (Governmental System) role or the  “False Prophet” role . Why? We will all know Jesus Christ during the millennium and we will behold Satan bound in the pit with a seal upon him (Revelation. 20:1-3). Those roles will be useless to him as everyone will know exactly who he is. Those roles only serve as a way to deceive the nations of the world. During the time of the millennium there will be no deception.

To further our study, let us turn to II Thessalonians chapter 2 verse 1…

II Thessalonians 2:1
1 “Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,”

Our topic here is the return of Jesus Christ and our gathering back unto Him.

II Thessalonians 2:2
2 “That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.”

Paul is explaining here, do not be confused by our previous letter to you (I Thessalonians) concerning the return of the Lord.

II Thessalonians 2:3
3 “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;”

What day shall not come? The day of the Lord, His return, shall not happen until there is a falling away and the “man of sin”, the “son of perdition” is revealed. Let us analyze this.

What is this falling away? “Falling away” is Strong’s word 646 and it means “defection from truth.” Now who is this “son of perdition”? It is none other than Satan himself! “Perdition” means to “perish”, to “die”. Satan is the only entity that has been condemned to death by name, Ezekiel 28:18-19, Revelation 17:8 and Revelation 20:10. Who is the “man of sin”? It is Satan, why would he be called this?

Isaiah 14:12-13
12How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!”

13 “For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:”

The stars of God are God’s children (Job 38:7).  Satan will proceed to setup his throne over God’s children and rule over them during the Tribulation.

Isaiah 14:14
14 “I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

Satan will disguise himself as God as we learned in 2 Corinthians 11:14.

Isaiah 14:15-16
15 “Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.”

16 “They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;”

This verse occurs during the millennium when Satan is locked in the bottomless pit and no longer has influence over anyone.

Satan’s sin was that he wanted to be God. He was not content enough protecting the very Mercy Seat (Ezekiel 28:14-17) he wanted more, he wanted to sit on the throne of God, to be God. He will NEVER be God, but he will come claiming to be God and exhibit supernatural powers.

As you can see from verse 16, God Himself stated, “is this the man” with reference to Lucifer who is Satan. So there is no reason for us to further translate what God has said. It should no longer be a mystery to you as to whom the “man of sin” truly is. Remember, Satan has many names, it is up to you, the student of the Bible to seek them out so you will not be spun into his web of deception.

With that said, Jesus will not return until there is a “falling away from truth” and Satan arrives claiming to be Christ. Why would there be a falling away from truth? When Satan is cast to earth he will play Jesus, many will buy into his deception and think he really is Christ!

Let us continue…

II Thessalonians 2:4
4 “Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.”

This truly should nail it for you! Who are we talking about here? The “man of sin” the “son of perdition” who is none other than Satan. He is acting as Jesus Christ, he claims to be God himself! We just learned from Isaiah 14 that Satan wanted to be like God. Soon he will imitate God, playing his role as Christ on earth showing “signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the Elect” (Mark 13:22).

The “abomination of desolation” as spoken by Daniel the prophet will be reality at this time. Daniel also proclaimed that Satan comes in peaceably and prosperously, not by war, but by “peace he shall destroy many” (Daniel 8:24-25, 11:21). If you are expecting war when Satan touches the earth you will be deceived. Remember, he is playing Christ.

II Thessalonians 2:5
5 “Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?”

Paul is saying I told you all of this already, remember?

II Thessalonians 2:6
6 “And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.”

Who might be revealed? Satan.

II Thessalonians 2:7
7 “For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.”

The mystery of iniquity abounded in Paul’s time which was 2,000 years ago. Just look around today and see how it has grown and encompassed the entire world with deception. In essence the mark of the beast is already in effect. Satan was crowned as prince of this world centuries ago, now he is about to be crowned king and god of this world (John 12:31).

The subject in this verse is still Satan. As we learned from Revelation 12:7, Michael holds Satan in heaven and he will be the one who casts him out. That is what we are talking about here. He who letteth, (he who holds Satan) will let (will continue to hold Satan) until he (Michael) steps back and lets Satan loose.

II Thessalonians 2:8
8 “And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:”

That Wicked one, Satan, will be revealed to the Saints immediately when he is cast from heaven by Michael. The rest of the world who has been deceived will not recognize him as the false messiah until the end of the Tribulation.

II Thessalonians 2:9
9 “Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,”

Paul just connected the dots of verse three for you where it refers to the “man of sin”, the “son of perdition” which is in fact Satan who will show himself that he is God as verse four states.

The verses from Isaiah connect the dots that Satan is the Antichrist which simply means, “The Instead of Christ”. He has always wanted to be God and he will get his opportunity to play God for a short season “with all signs and lying wonders”. Take note, Jesus does not appear in any form whatsoever until AFTER Satan has come here to deceive. Who is the antichrist? It should be clear to you by now, Satan is in fact, the Antichrist. Satan is not a man, he was never born in the flesh and never will be.

In closing, if we read from God’s Word with understanding we can come to understand all things. When we are told of a Biblical “truth,” we need to take it and see if it holds true in God’s Word before we tuck it into our minds as fact.

  1. Thanks for all the Bible references on this subject. A Christian needs to listen to God’s Word instead of all the fiction made up by man or worse yet, man’s religious system.

  2. Arnetta say…

Wonderful job, keep up the great WORK my brother!!!!

Faith without works is dead, YHVH is LIFE !!!!

  3. Loved your article on the Rapture but I am going to have to disagree w/ you here.
Rev 19:20 ” And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.”
Thus, we know two things from this verse:
    1) The A/C & False Prophet are not human – missing White Throne Judgment
    2) The Dragon (Satan) is bound for 1000 yrs – so he was not thrown into the Lake of Fire.
The A/C is Apollyon – see Rev 9:11
Apollyon is the son of satan. Just as God sent his son, Satan is sending his. The false prophet is Mercury his brother.
They are Nephilim – as in the days of Noah.

    • Jsmappy,

Thank you for the comment. Perhaps you mis-read? I stated from God’s Word who the anti-christ is. Which is Satan, who is obviously not human. As stated in the study, Satan AND his angels (evil spirits) will be kicked out onto the face of the earth.

Rev. 9:11 – “And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.”

Who is the king of the bottomless pit, who is revealed at the sixth trump? It’s Satan. The Word is documenting more of Satan’s names so we will not misunderstand who it is we are talking about. Satan’s name is given in the Hebrew and Greek languages here. Both words mean “destroyer” which is one of Satan’s names. The Greek word 623 in the Strong’s Concordance means:

      “active participle of – apollumi 622; a destroyer (i.e. Satan):–Apollyon.”

Clearly, this is Satan, it gives you his name right there. This is NOT Satan’s son.

  4. If this is satan, a spiritual being, why does Paul call him “man of sin”?

    • In Ezekiel 28:12-19, we are told Satan is perfect in beauty so forget about seeing some devilish looking man. God also tells us Satan was in the garden of Eden, he was that serpent (Rev. 20:2). Make no mistake who we are talking about here. Satan was the cherub that covered the very Mercy Seat until his fall because he wanted to be God. Thus one of his names, “man of sin.” Wanting to be God is most definitely a sin.

Vs 17 tells us he will be cast to the earth as documented in other verses in this study.
Vs 18 God tells us Satan will be destroyed. He is the first by name condemned to death, which is why he is also called the “son of perdition.” The word “perdition” means to perish.

I would also like to add, can a man accomplish this remarkable act that Satan will perform as the Anti-Christ, playing his roll as Jesus Christ?

      Revelation 13:13
And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

  5. thank you for the clarity you have given me.

  6. Praise God! Thank you for your work!

  7. Good job working all these different verses together. You helped me understand some new things in the scriptures. They were new to me.

  8. Good study that you have presented. Very intensely interesting. So many christians think Obama is the anti christ, and I have had the discussion of these very scriptures. This made it much easier to make my point.

  9. AAA+ Well executed. The WORD never grows old.

  10. It’s good to revisit this very important topic from time to time…and you have done a great job explaining and Scripturally documenting it, Brandon.

Thanks so much for bringing it to the fore again!

Could you help with this part…where you’ve stated:

“Satan will be imitating Christ in order to deceive the whole world into believing that not only has God returned to the earth, but He has brought His Kingdom as well (Revelation 12:9, II Thessalonians 2:4).

Specifically: “not only has God returned to the earth, BUT He has BROUGHT His Kingdom as well” (CAPS mine)

Where can I find documentation that Satan will even pretend that…”brought His Kingdom”…part?

For the Rapture ‘Christians’…his revival message to them, may be, that…he has come to “FLY them AWAY”…how would that work? Wouldn’t he be just too thrilled…to DECEIVE them…in obliging their FLIGHT?

Satan already knows he has but only a…*short*…time…and is fully aware that the RAPTURE believers are expecting to *Fly Away*…and *if* they believe that the Kingdom is here…it may put a *FLY*…in that porridge…for they want to ‘skadoodle’ out of here…and he’ll want to ENSURE that he absolutely have that group, all *CHAINED-UP… for they do NOT know that they are following the FAKE Christ….is my point.

Just wondering…for God will help them BELIEVE the LIE…if they want to believe the lie of FLYING AWAY…that’s NOT what He taught them…they actually listened to the “foolish prophets” of Ezekiel 13:3…and was therefore…*ENSNARED*…by these…in Ezekiel 13:17 “Likewise, thou son of man, set thy face AGAINST the daughters of thy People, which prophesy out of their OWN heart; and prophesy thou AGAINST them, And say, ‘Thus saith the Lord God; Woe to the women that sew pillows to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye HUNT the souls of My People, and will ye SAVE the souls ALIVE that come unto you?”

The “daughters” are the “false prophets” here…GOD must have seen Margaret Mc Donald…that mentally sick girl…who had that dream of FLYING AWAY…and herself….called it EVIL! But some preachers that were there…saw opportunity for something fresh, and probably to draw more into giving into the ‘coffers’…taught the RAPTURE (FLY AWAY doctrine) to religiously wandering minds.

    THEN GOD SENT THIS WARNING!!!

Ezekiel 13:20 “Wherefore thus saith the Lord God; ‘Behold, I am AGAINST your pillows, wherewith ye there HUNT the souls to make them FLY, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them FLY.”

Those RAPTURE believers…really have to truly thank GOD for the MILLENNIUM…where they will be DISCIPLINED in things that are HOLY….*NOT*…Profane!

We all will be in flesh bodies, and those RAPTURE folks will think that they are still *here*…amongst the ‘ones who didn’t make the cut’ (sinners)…they will *expect* to be “LEAVING THEM…BEHIND.”

Thanks so much for such dedication in God’s / Christ’s service.

    • You are welcome. To answer your question you copied the documentation in your quote of the study. Revelation 12:9 and 2 Thessalonians 2:4 along with thinking though what will happen during the Tribulation.

Naturally Heaven is where ever God is and Luke 17:21 states, “the kingdom of God is within you“. Which means what? If our Father’s Spirit dwells in you, then you are a part of that Kingdom.

Satan will imitate Jesus, Satan will claim to be God. In order to do that Satan will need to claim he has brought his kingdom with him and that will consist of the fallen angels as the scriptures will document. Satan knows his time is short and he will say what he needs to get people to worship him. I think there will be more to Satan’s appearance than just he and his angels.

I personally do not believe Satan will need to do much convincing with respect to the flying Christians. They already do not read the book of Revelation and have little to no understanding of the Tribulation from my experience. When Satan shows up snapping his fingers and lighting appears from the sky they will believe he is Christ. Satan’s message will be that he is savior of the world. Remember, there are a lot of other religions and non-believers in the world, Satan wants to win over all of them. Aside from that, flying Christians believe they are taken from the earth, so when Satan shows up claiming to be Christ and they are still on the earth, they will quickly realize they made a mistake and worship the false Christ. Hopefully many of these people come out of confusion when the witnessing starts.

      • Thank you for your response, Brandon…truly appreciated.

I understand your position much better now. Cannot argue that…if the ‘RAPTURE’ believers, truly believe that the ‘great’ DECEIVER…is the *real* Christ…which they will…unfortunately, *IF*…they do NOT come our of BABEL. And as you have already stated, when he: “shows up snapping his fingers and lighting appears from the sky”…and all his other ‘wondrous’ miracles, which God will allow…that they may believe the Kingdom is here…the TRUE King..in His Dominion…as DECEPTIVE as that may be. I believe that all else…EXCEPT…for those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of life…will be *easy* pickins’…because of those ‘wondrous’ miracles.

I totally agree with you there…as UNFORTUNATE & SAD…as that may be.

Was just a bit curious as to your thoughts…as to those who’ve set their hearts on FLYING AWAY…in regards to the “Kingdom” being here at that time.

You certainly did ‘tickle’ my curiosity, when you stated this though:

“I think there will be more to Satan’s appearance than just he and his angels.”

Thanks once again for enlightening me on your position…and for this FABULOUS study! Excellent timing…to revisit…as the time grows closer to the *casting out* of Satan.

I pray that whomever will…be blessed by it…especially in this *progressively worst*…time of FAMINE.

May God continue to lead, guide and direct you, and all those who earnestly teach and seek His TRUTHS.

Thank you for this beautiful study Brandon. I really took my time and studied it over slowly and thoroughly. Just one thing you wrote in the very beginning that was a bit incongruous. You said that Matthew 24:29 was describing the events that happen in Revelation 12:7, but in Matthew it reads that the heavens are shaken immediately after the tribulation. Revelation 12:7 occurs just before Satan is cast out of heaven, making it just before the tribulation begins. I know it is only a small detail, but I was worried that I missing something here.
    Thank you DFG.

    • Good job DFG, you are acting like the Berean’s (Acts 17:11)! I believe what is outlined in the study is correct. I believe there is a translation issue in Matthew. Let me explain and please turn your Bible with me to,

      Revelation 6:12
“And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; “

Which seal? The sixth and Satan is about to be cast out of Heaven.

      Revelation 6:13
“And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. “

The angels of Heaven are known as stars and we documented that in “Satan’s Sin”. ‘The stars of heaven falling to earth,’ this is Satan and his fallen angels being cast out of Heaven as Revelation 12:7-9 will document. What is it compared to? ‘As a fig tree that casts her UNTIMELY figs.’ Untimely, meaning before their time, before the true Harvest. This is when Satan is cast out of Heaven and onto earth and why it is being compared to untimely figs. Satan will come and claim to be Christ, Satan will claim the time of Harvest is at hand, but it is a lie.

      Revelation 6:14
“And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. “

This verse jumps us right into the 7th trumpet. (A side note for you here, remember the earthquake with respect to Ezekiel and Gog…)

      Revelation 6:15
“And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;”

This is the end of the flesh age.

Your take away from this is Revelation just documented in the sixth seal that Satan is cast from Heaven to earth as an untimely fig. Then we have the appearance of Christ. In Matthew 24:29 it reads backwards, it says after the Tribulation the stars of Heaven fall. That is not correct and for our second witness let us turn our Bibles to,

      Luke 21:25
“And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; “

      Luke 21:26
“Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. “

Once again, Satan and his fallen angel friends are cast from Heaven to earth and then…

      Luke 21:27
“And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.”

Then we have the appearance of Jesus Christ. Remember, Satan is the Tribulation. Satan cannot come after the Tribulation.

In Mark 13:22-26 it reads “after that tribulation” referencing the events before these verses, then it states in verse 25 the stars of Heaven fall (Satan and the fallen angels) and in verse 26 we see Jesus Christ. Another witness, but the “after that tribulation” makes it seem like there are several tribulations which could cause confusion and I think the word would have been better translated “trouble, burdened, etc” (Strong’s word: 2347). I believe there is a similar case with the word tribulation in Matthew. Anytime we see the word tribulation we instantly think Satan on earth, but the word has several meanings and the things Christ warned us of in Matthew 24, Luke 21 and Mark 13 are definitely troubles, burdens and tribulations, but not necessarily the main event, which is Satan standing on the earth claiming to be Jesus Christ.

We have to rightly divide the Word and find that double witness and when something does not seem right dig deeper into the word, breaking them back into the Hebrew and Greek if it is needed.

Keep digging DFG, you are doing good.

      • Driving for God.

        June 24, 2015 at 2:44 PM

Brandon, thank you for your explanation. Since Satan comes transformed as an angel of light, we know that he is a cheap imitation, an imitator/Christ want to be. Therefore, as Revelation 6:12 states, when Satan arrives claiming to be Christ, there will be a great earthquake; likewise, when Christ returns, there will be an even greater earthquake. In essence to similar events, the later being the real deal.
        Documentation:
        Isaiah 13:9
“Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.”
        Isaiah 13:10
“For the stars in heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.”
When does this say it will happen? in his [Christ’s] going forth; i.e. His coming as King of kings and Lord of lords.
        Isaiah 13:13
“Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.”

This happens when Christ comes forth. But when Satan and his angels are cast to earth as a fig tree casting her untimely figs, (as Revelation 6:12 reads), a smaller but similar event happens at that time as well. Notice the moon becomes as blood, but when Christ returns the moon shall not cause her light to shine what so ever.
I think that maybe Matthew 24:29 read correct in that there are two tribulations. Satan’s and then the Lord’s.
        Ephesians 3:13
“Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.”
We receive our glory when Christ returns.
        2Thessalonians 1:4
“So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your PATIENCE and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:”
“In your patience possess ye your souls.” Lk. 21:19.
We must wait as chaste virgins for the true Christ to return. We can not be worshipping Anti-Christ.
        2Thessalonians 1:5
“Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:”
We suffer in Satan’s tribulation, waiting for our real Savior to return.
        2Thessalonians 1:6
“Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;”
This tribulation is the after that tribulation spoken of in Matthew 24:29. For is it not first, the elect that endure tribulation, while it is heaven on earth for the rest of the deceived. Then after that, they who were deceived by Satan, will receive God’s tribulation/wrath?
        2Thessalonians 1:7
“And to you who are troubled [from Satan’s tribulation]rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed form heaven with his mighty angels,”
I believe these mighty angels will also be like stars falling from heaven. So first Satan and his angels fall, then comes Jesus with his angels.
Well that’s all the digging so far. Let me know what you think. DFG.

        • Thanks for the note DFG. Just remember do not get stuck in one train of thought when you see the word “tribulation”, understand it means several things. The Tribulation of Satan cannot happen until he is here. I say that with respect to Matthew. There are going to be lots of Tribulations or tests, trials. One right now which gets worse as the days wear on, one when Satan is here and there will also be a time of trouble when Christ returns, but that is not our Tribulation, that one will be Satan’s Tribulation, meaning one he will have to endure, the very wrath of Christ.

    • Just chiming in here a bit DFG and Brandon…I’m just trying to understand better and examine the short of both Scriptures directly below, for clarification. Please set me straight if I’m off course.

In Matthew 24:29 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:”

Isn’t this stating, that: IMMEDIATELY *after* the tribulation of SATAN…that CHRIST will be returning, which marks the SECOND Advent. Thus pointing out that there are TWO
tribulations…and we better *know* the DIFFERENCE?

Whereas in Revelation 12:7 “And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,”

Here…aren’t we are now taken *back*…into Heaven…where the war is taking place between Satan / the dragon and his angels….and…. Michael and his angels?
