Bible Question and Answer
Welcome to our bi-weekly post where we provide Bible verses, answers and advice to the questions and concerns you have. During the course of the last two weeks readers have submitted their questions and today we are going to answer some of them. So please join us and feel free to chime in on the discussion in the comments section below this post.

Before we get into this week’s questions we would like to point out that you are helping to spread the Word of God by your continued submission of questions. Because of your ongoing participation these Q&A posts have been read thousands of times. Without your participation this section of our site would not exist. So if you have a Biblical or non-Biblical question you would like to ask, submit it now for our next edition of “Bible: Question, Answer and Discussion“.

Question 1:

Name: Melanie
Question: Hello and thank-you for creating this blogspot. I have learned so much about the bible just from reading your studies. I know what the truth feels like when I see it or hear it. You speak such beautiful truths.

My questions is: what do you feel about the Mormon faith? I belong to the LDS church and have a testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ and of our Heavenly Father. Your bible studies are so in tune with that gospel message. Are you a Mormon? Or maybe Gods message if it is interpreted correctly was meant for all Christian faiths? What do you think?

Answer:

Name: Brandon T. Ward
Answer: Melanie, thank you for your question and kind words. Absolutely, God’s Word, His message is for everyone, all people, whomsoever will (Romans 10:9, John 3:16).

As you alluded to, Christianity is filled with different denominations which essentially divide Christians. Christ told us in Mark 3:25, “if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.” Essentially, this is what Christianity has become due to all of the denominations. This scripture essentially documents that Christ is against denominationalism. As Christ is, so are we. We are a non-denominational Christian website.

We should all come together in our studies and discussions as we are right now and use the Bible as our guiding light. Not the books of other men. Revelation 22:19 documents we are not to add to God’s Word nor take away. Thank You, Melanie.

Question 2:

Name: Becky
Question: What happened to the second influx of fallen angels? We’re they bound with the first influx? What does the Bible say?

Answer:

Name: Brandon T. Ward
Answer: Becky thank you for the question. There really is not that much written about the fallen angels. We know there was a second influx of fallen angels from the account in Genesis 6:4 where it states, “There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men.” After that, meaning after the Days of Noah.

So what happened to the second influx of angels? Jude 1:6 documents, “the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.”

The second influx of fallen angels did leave Heaven so this verse applies to them as well.

Question 3:

Name: Linda from CA
Question: Hi, can you tell me is the raiser of taxes and the goat from the west the same entity? Thanks Linda

Answer:

Name: Brandon T. Ward
Answer: Linda, that is a great question. Daniel 8:21 tells us the goat is the king of Grecia who historically was Alexander the great. We know this prophecy is two-fold as it is for us in these end times as well. We can document that by reading through to the end of the chapter. We are awaiting that great conflict with the ram who is Persia and we see it brewing today.

Linda, unfortunately we cannot document the answer to your question in God’s Word. I do not believe anyone can. There is simply not enough written to say for certain.

Question 4:

Name: Susan
Question: I know that we will not be able to buy and sell the 5 months Anti Christ is here. How should I go about storing up? Should I pay ahead on our property taxes? Should I pay ahead on electric? Should I not be concerned with that?

Thank you so much! I love your site and found it through the seasons bible study website.

Answer:

Name: Brandon T. Ward
Answer: Susan thank you for the question and the kind words. We thank our Father for the opportunity to present His Word.

That is correct we will not be able to buy or sell during the Tribulation of Satan and God does require us to work in order to eat. So He does expect us to provide for ourselves (2 Thes 3:10). Yet, our Father never leaves us without. Deuteronomy 29:5 documents the Israelites wondered forty years in the wilderness yet their clothes and shoes never wore out. Why? Because God was with them. 1 Corinthians 10:11 states the accounts in the Bible are our “ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.”

In Matthew 6:24-33 Christ explains that we cannot serve two masters, God and riches. Some people get so caught up planning their futures (working) and preparing they lose sight of God. We see a lot of this today. All the preparing in the world will do us no good if God is not on our side.

Understanding God is there for us and will provide is a great comfort. However, I think if the individual has the means and the time to prepare without losing sight of God and their family, preparing is a wonderful thing. Proverbs 6:6-8 states we should observe the ant who has no ruler yet she provides for herself in the summer and gathers her food during harvest, she prepares.

Just as with the parable of the talents we covered in “The Bible is the Textbook of Life.” God gives more to some than others, according to their ability. It just maybe Susan that you preparing will help your fellow brother or sister during the Tribulation. And who gave you that talent? Our Father.

Question 5:

Name: Stan
Question: The questions I have are opinion questions. The 2 witnesses, when they return do you think they are re transfigured back too flesh? That they are killed, would seem too suggest as much.

Answer:

Name: Brandon T. Ward
Answer: Stan, thank you for the question. I believe that we can document exactly what you said in the Word. Revelation 11:3-12 documents the Two Witnesses will be on earth and killed as you said.

If we read 1 Corinthians 15:35-55 Paul explains there is a spiritual body and a natural body. In verses 53-54 he explains when we are raised from the dead we are raised from corruptible flesh bodies to incorruptible spiritual bodies. Spiritual bodies are not corruptible, meaning the spiritual body itself does not get sick or die. So when we are told the Two Witnesses are killed, they must be transfigured into a flesh body so they can die and fulfill prophecy.

Question 6:

Name: Preacher Dave
Question: Will we (the church) go through the tribulation or will we be raptured out before it happens?? The Bible says we will be raptured out before this time comes. Scripture ref: I Thessalonians 4:14 thru 18 and I Thessalonians 1:9 and Revelation 3:10. The whole point of the rapture is to keep the church from going through the wrath of G-d Right?

Answer:

Name: Brandon T. Ward
Answer: Preacher Dave, thank you for the question. There is no rapture. Revelation 7 documents the Elect who are the 144,000 are sealed with the Word of God. This sealing is so important the Tribulation cannot start until it is complete. The Elect and many more are going to stand with the whole armour of God on and in place through the entire Tribulation. They will stand with the Two Witnesses who prophesy during the Tribulation of Satan who will claim to be Christ. Verse 14 documents the Elect and those who stand with them go through the entire Tribulation.

Many mistakenly think Revelation 4:1 is referring to the church, but nowhere do we find the church mentioned. Who was God talking to in that verse? John, as Revelation 1:1-2 documents. John was taken to the Lord’s day, the millennium and shown what will happen during and after the Tribulation.

The Tribulation is not the wrath of God, His Wrath will take place at the end of the Tribulation as Revelation 19:11-21 documents. The Tribulation is of Satan who will claim to be Christ, who will be cast out of Heaven onto earth at the 6th trumpet (2 Thes 2, Rev 12:9). Christ does not return until the 7th trumpet. Further, Acts 3:20-21 documents Christ must stay in Heaven until all prophecy has been fulfilled. This leaves no room for a rapture.

Concerning your verses. I Thes 4:14-18, backup one verse to 13 please.

I Thessalonians 4:13
13 “But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.”

The entire subject of these verses concerns those who have passed on before us. Paul is letting us know they will return with Christ at the 7th trumpet. Nowhere does it say anyone leaves the earth beforehand.

I Thes 1:10, I believe you meant verse 9 where we are kept from the wrath of God. We covered that above.

Finally, Revelation 3:10 where we are kept from the hour of temptation. We are kept from that hour of temptation (Tribulation) because we do not find Satan tempting. We find him playing the role of Christ to be despicable, an abomination. This is why Paul would write in 1 Thes 5:1-6 the return of Christ will not overtake His children, the children of light as a thief. Why? Because they understand Satan comes first claiming to be Christ. When that event happens, we will know we are five months from the return of Christ.
