Question: Does God really want us to kill & eat animals?
Name: Brandon T. Ward
Answer: No name was given and this writer had a lot to say on this subject. Due to our format I am only including the original question. To the writer, you are more than welcome to post in the comments section if you wish.
Our Father has given us animals to have dominion over and yes that includes eating them. Please turn your Bible with me to,
3 “Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.”
Of course we have the health food laws to follow, we do not partake of swines flesh or shell fish as a brief example. The animals not outlined in the health food laws are acceptable to eat. Our Father has made this perfectly clear, we can eat the animals and God even said, ‘here are the ones that are okay to eat and here are the ones that are not okay to eat‘ (Leviticus 11:1-23). That is plain as day.
If you do not wish to eat animals that is your right and fine with the Lord. But please do not pass your false belief onto everyone else especially when it is contrary to the Word of God. Do not forget our Father even clothed Adam and Eve with animal skins (Genesis 3:21). During the original passover (Moses time) God required lambs blood over the door post and for the Israelites to consume the flesh of the lamb during the night and burn any remaining before the morning. Very specific. Further, Christ would teach the Disciples how to fish and how can we forget the account of the five loaves and two fish (Mark 6:41)? Jesus Christ Himself fulfilled the passover by becoming our Passover Lamb.
Do you realize our Father is against those who teach we should abstain from meat? Let us document that, please turn your Bible with me to,
1 Timothy 4:1-4
1 “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;”
2 “Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;”
3 “Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.”
4 “For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:”
Our Father’s Word is clearly stating it is contrary and even wicked to tell people not to eat animals. That is completely wrong right from the Word of God. Again, we do not consume all meats only those which were meant to be received (Leviticus 11:1-23).
1 Timothy 4:5-6
5 “For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.”
6 “If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.”
Lastly, meat does not rot in the gut as you outlined in your email that is absolutely untrue and by making that statement voids common sense and our Father’s Written Word. If meat were not digestible peoples bellies would swell and they would drop dead after a few dinners from not being able to digest the meat.
The answer is simple. God said it is okay to eat meat, the choice is yours.
Question: My sister recently announced to our mother that she was going to convert to the Catholic church. I know that I am not to judge but I question this move as there has never been anyone in our family in this religion. However, I also know that if this helps my sister I am all for it. My question is that my sister told my mother that angels were looking after her. I am not familiar at this point in my learning our fathers word very much about angels. Would you please direct me to where in the Bible it talks about angels? For some reason deep in my gut this does not seem right. Thank You.
Name: Brandon T. Ward
Answer: Patty good to hear from you as always and thank you for the question. Angels are mentioned although God’s Word. However, there is nothing that states we have “guardian Angels” if you will. Please turn your Bible with me and listen to the Words of Christ.
10 “Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.”
Some may claim this verse documents “guardian Angels,” but that is not what the scripture stated at all. These Angels have the face of God, meaning they are looking at Him at all times awaiting His instruction. Our Father does not need to have Angels doing any look out for Him. Our Father sees everything at all times, He can be wherever He wishes at all times, our Father is in fact omniscient.
Aside from these simple facts our Father has already promised to be right by our side. To walk with us on our journey through life. We have no need of a lookout from an Angel, because the Creator of all is with us every step of the way.
6 “Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”
Additional Reading on Angels: Luke 1:11-20 & Luke 1:26-38.
Question: Many churches are now teaching the prosperity gospels where with Kingdom laws that you learn, you can and will become very prosperous. Where does the Bible teach these laws? And what are these laws?
Name: Brandon T. Ward
Answer: Bob, thank you for the question. I am not familiar with this teaching and must say it sounds very un-Christian, which is to say, un-Christ like in my opinion. Christ told us to spread His Word to the world, not be concerned about getting rich.
It is true there are a lot of scriptures where our Father tells us if we follow His Word we will be blessed by Him. This does not mean great wealth though. Blessings are knowing our Father’s Word, having a family and everyone being healthy, having a roof over our head and something to eat, all of these things are blessings.
Exodus 20:12 tells us, we will have a long life if we honor our Father and Mother. While Christ Himself would tell us in John 15:16, “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.”
This does not mean if we ask for a shiny new Corvette we are going to receive one. What did Christ say? We should go and bring forth fruit. Fruit are our works, our Father wants to see our good works and those works are expanding the Kingdom of our Father. Sharing His Word with our family and friends when we can and setting that Christian example each and everyday we walk this earth.
Please turn your Bible with me and listen to the Words of Christ.
19 “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:”
20 “But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:”
21 “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”
This is so key in my opinion. Wherever our treasure is that is where our heart is.
3 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:”
Blessed us with what? Gold and silver? No. Spiritual blessings and these my friends are the greatest. For those who follow and live by our Father’s Word, He has promised us that we would inherit something much greater than wealth, but our Father’s Kingdom, a Paradise of Peace that will last forever (Daniel 7:27, Revelation 21:7).
Now that my friends is uncomparable to anything we could ever hope to achieve in the flesh.
We would like to thank our Father for giving us this platform in order to spread His most precious Word. We would also like to thank our readers for submitting their questions and giving us the opportunity to share them with the audience.
