Bible Question and Answer
Welcome to our bi-weekly post Bible Question, Answer and Discussion where we provide Bible verses, answers and advice to the questions and concerns you have. During the course of the last two weeks readers have submitted their questions and today we are going to answer some of them. So please join us and feel free to chime in on the discussion in the comments section below this post.

Before we get into this week’s questions we would like to point out that you are helping to spread the Word of God by your continued submission of questions. Because of your ongoing participation these Q&A posts have been read thousands of times. Without your participation this section of our site would not exist. So if you have a Biblical or non-Biblical question you would like to ask, submit it now for our next edition of “Bible: Question, Answer and Discussion“.

Question 1:

Name: Cheryl
Question: As humans we crave human companionship,  why is there no marriage after Jesus comes to earth?

Answer:

Name: Brandon T. Ward
Answer: Thank you for the question Cheryl.

This age of flesh is a very temporary thing. Our Father never intended on creating this space of time. He never intended on creating us in the flesh. However,  Satan rebelled against God in The First Earth Age which brought about this age of flesh we now find ourselves in. The goal of this time period is for each and every one of us to be born innocent of woman in order to make up our mind who we will follow, God or Satan. That means each and every soul God created must pass through this age of flesh to make that decision for themselves. As a side note Jude 1:6 will document some of the angels decided not to be born of woman and with that decision they sealed their own fate.

So looking forward to the Eternity there is no need to pro-create. God has already created all of the souls and the ones not on earth are in Heaven with our Father. After Judgement Day (the end of the Millennium) the only souls that will be left are those who love our Father. Marriage and the flesh will be one of the “former things that have passed away” as there will be no need to pro-create (Revelation 21:4). Do not let this upset or bother you. God is fair, He will not take away something without replacing it with something greater. Remember, “God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away” (Revelation 21:4).

Question 2:

Name: Antonio
Question: I get confused. Is the battle of hamon-gog and Gog before the millennium or at the end of the millennium?

Answer:

Name: Brandon T. Ward
Answer: Antonio, thank you for the question.

This battle is before the Millennium at the very end of the Tribulation of Satan. For scriptural documentation of this please visit a past Bible Q&A regarding this subject (Bible Q&A from 05-09-2014 – Q2).

Question 3:

Name: Tina
Question: Hello
This is regarding the miracle – turning the water into wine at the marriage in Cana.  In John 2:10, I ask in Jehovah’s will, what are your thoughts on this verse?  As Bullinger uses an i.e. to give the good thing first, and the worse thing after.  God’s way is always the opposite.  Meaning?

Answer:

Name: WEB Staff
Answer: Thank you for the question Tina.

I want you to note that was not God or Christ speaking. It was the “ruler of the feast” speaking to the groom.  If you give good wine last nobody will taste it because they are drunk and their taste buds are out of touch. The bad wine in the beginning will taste awful, so get them drunk with the good wine and then give them the bad wine at the end. They were rewarded first is the point here. God does not operate that way.

I do not think Bullinger was trying to make an eloquent point here. He was just saying man tends to reward people upfront a lot of the time (no hard rule there), but God makes you earn it. Remember, the path is narrow and not everyone will make it (Matthew 7:13-14).

Question 4:

Name: Angela
Question: Hi Brandon,
I read your blog about preparing for the tribulation.  How can one purchase and store up when they don’t have the money to make ends meet?  My husband isn’t working, and I was laid off. I found a job making a little above minimum wage. My 401 K will barely support retirement (which most likely will never happen). It’s been tough. I know God is faithful and I want to prepare properly, too. Thank you!

Answer:

Name: Brandon T. Ward
Answer: Angela thank you for the question.

A lot of people are hurting financially right now and spiritually as well. We posted an article about the financial side the other day. It stated 51% of Americans make less than $30k a year (before taxes of course). That is cutting it very close.

For our readers, Angela’s question stems from our article, “Preparing Our Households for the Tribulation“.

Angela you can only prepare if you have leftover income after paying your bills and taking care of your family. If you have nothing left over, what can you do? I want to quote the article you read to ensure you did not miss the point,

If you have the means and are not preparing you are tempting God and that will not fly with our Father. God may very well provide miracles (five loaves two fish as an example) for us during the Tribulation of Satan. However, if we have the means we should prepare and not assume God will step in and do the work for us.

We should physically, mentally and spiritually prepare to the best of our abilities, but this is truly not an event we can stand up to on our own. All the preparing in the world will be completely empty if we do not have Faith in our Father.

Remember, God will be there to see us through the Tribulation if we believe and trust Him.

Make sure to note the items in bold and underline. If you have the means, then prepare. If you truly do not then the Lord understands that and He will help to see you through the rough days ahead if you stand by His side. Do not beat yourself up over it or feel guilty. The point is if you have the means then you should prepare. Not everyone of us is going to have the optimal situation. The Lord does not care if you are rich or poor and I know you understand that. Just remember,

2 Thessalonians 3:3
3 “But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.”
