Bible Question and Answer
Welcome to our bi-weekly post Bible Question, Answer and Discussion where we provide Bible verses, answers and advice to the questions and concerns you have. During the course of the last two weeks readers have submitted their questions and today we are going to answer some of them. So please join us and feel free to chime in on the discussion in the comments section below this post.

Before we get into this week’s questions we would like to point out that you are helping to spread the Word of God by your continued submission of questions. Because of your ongoing participation these Q&A posts have been read thousands of times. Without your participation this section of our site would not exist. So if you have a Biblical or non-Biblical question you would like to ask, submit it now for our next edition of “Bible: Question, Answer and Discussion“.

Question 1:

Name: Regina
Question: Dear Brandon:
Please let me know if there is any other record that Jesus existed beside the New Testament.
Thank you for your attention and explanation,
Regina

Answer:

Name: Brandon T. Ward
Answer: Regina thank you for the question.

The answer to your question is absolutely. We documented some of this information in our study titled, “Proof of God Through Creation and History“. In that study you can find the links to document this for yourself. Two of the individuals we documented were Publius Cornelius Tacitus who was a senator and historian of the Roman Empire. Titus Flavius Josephus was the other and he was a Roman-Jewish scholar, historian and hagiographer. Two religions also wrote about Jesus Christ in their religious books those being Islam and Judaism.

I would encourage you to read that study.

Question 2:

Name: Rochelle
Question: What does Hebrew mean?

Answer:

Name: WEB Staff
Answer: Thank you for the question Rochelle.

Hebrew means those who crossed over (the Jordon River).

In Egypt the Adamites were called Israelites, because all the tribes were children of Israel, from Abraham.  But when they crossed over the Jordon river to take the land that later became known as Israel the people in that vicinity called them Hebrews. Why? Because they crossed over the Jordon river.  So they became known as Hebrews. I hope that is what you were looking for.

We would like to thank our Father for giving us this platform in order to spread His most precious Word. We would also like to thank our readers for submitting their questions and giving us the opportunity to share them with the audience.

If you would like to ask a question submit it for the next edition of this post. Additionally, you can continue and add to the discussion in the comments section below.
