Question 1:

Name: Gayle
Question: I am trying to understand Revelation 20:4-7. Are these 2 separate thousand years? The way I understand it is there are 2 sets of a thousand years.

Answer:

Name: Brandon T. Ward
Answer: Thank you for the question Gayle.

There is only a single one thousand year period which is called the Millennium. If you read Revelation 19 this will allow you to gain some perspective as to where you are on the Biblical timeline. What you will find is Christ has just returned, meaning the Tribulation of Satan is now over and we are all instantly changed into our true bodies which are our spiritual bodies that never get sick, old or die. With that said, let us read Revelation 20 together from the top of the chapter.

Revelation 20:1-2
1 “And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.”

2 “And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,”

At this point in time Christ has set foot on earth and Satan has now been bound for the thousand year reign of Jesus Christ which occurs on earth and is known as the Millennium.

Revelation 20:3
3 “And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.”

This is the same one thousand year period.

Revelation 20:4
4 “And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.”

We are still talking about the Millennium, the same one thousand year period where Satan is bound in the bottomless pit. Notice, judgement is given to some on the first day of the Millennium.

Revelation 20:5
5 “But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.”

The rest of the dead, meaning those who are spiritually dead, dead in Christ. There is no flesh during or after the Millennium. Remember in the Bible there is a lot of spiritual meaning and parables. The account of Lazarus and the Rich Man is another example of many.

Revelation 20:6
6 “Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.”

Recall from verse 4 we had some who were judged on the first day of the Millennium. It is these individuals that verse 6 is talking about. This is the first resurrection, if you are judged here that is final and why the scripture states the second death has no power. The second death would be the death of your spirit, the first death being the death of the flesh. This second death takes place at the very end of the Millennium and is known as the White Throne Judgement. Read this entire chapter and it will lay this out for you in the final verses.

Revelation 20:7
7 “And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,”

What thousand years? The Millennium we have been discussing. The time when some are judged and walk with Christ as Priests for a thousand years teaching those who never had the opportunity to hear truth.

Question 2:

Name: Meghan
Question: Can you help me understand the specific time length of tribulation. Is the 5 months locust army a time frame with a 3.5 year period that antichrist will be in earth, or will he be here for only 5 months? I understood it to be 3.5 years of false peace/one world government, then 3.5 years of false Christ but am now feeling confused about how the time was shortened to 5 months. Thank you infinitely for your site and God bless!

Additional note from Meghan:

Thanks Brandon, I was thinking since I wrote, that to clarify… is there any other indication of the shortening other than Mark 13:20 and Rev. 9.5?

Answer:

Name: Brandon T. Ward
Answer: Meghan thank you for the question.

This subject has caused quite a bit of confusion so do not feel bad. I am going to include some additional links at the bottom of this answer to assist you with a deeper understanding of this subject.

In Daniel 9:26-27 we are told Satan confirms a covenant with many for one week. That week is the original seven year Tribulation which was shortened by Christ down to a five month period. This verse alone documents Satan is here on earth for the entire Tribulation, not just a part of it. However, Satan does not take absolute control of the world until the midst of the week. Please turn your Bible with me to,

Revelation 13:5
5 “And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.”

Notice, Satan is now given power over the one world government by world leaders and this enables him to continue for 42 months. This is the time when Satan will reign absolute as the antichrist. How long is 42 months? 3.5 years. Note, at verse five we are right in the middle of the Tribulation.

The first half of the Tribulation is also 3.5 years long on the original time scale. However, that seven years was shortened down to five months. So if you split five months in half you have what? Two, 2.5 month periods. So what we just read of in Revelation 13:5 will last for 2.5 months on the shortened timeline. Satan is still on earth for the entire Tribulation, five months, what was originally seven years. The actions and roles do not change, only the time allotment.

Yes there is another indication the Tribulation of Satan was shortened. Matthew 24:22 provides another witness to this fact. You already documented Revelation 9:5 as a source and if you keep reading verse 10 reiterates the same message providing emphasis for us.

There is not that much written about the shortening Meghan, but we can trust Christ Words. The following is a quote from our study titled, “As in the Days of Noah and the End Times Flood of Lies” that may help you.

Genesis 7:24
24 “And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days.”

150 days, that is five months. Hold this thought for a moment, we will pick it up shortly.

Genesis 8:3
3 “And the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated.”

We are told in Daniel 12:10, “the wise shall understand” the times of the end. What has Christ told us concerning our Tribulation? In Matthew 24:22 He stated, “those days shall be shortened,” from the seven year Tribulation period, but He did not elaborate. Yet, Christ has ‘foretold you all things,‘ so we know we can find the answer to our question if we seek out the scriptures with our Father’s help (Mark 13:23). If we read Revelation 9:4-5 we are told those with the seal of God in their forehead (Revelation 7:3-4) cannot be harmed by Satan or his fallen angels for a five month period. How many days is five months? 150 days. How long was the flood of Noah, his tribulation? 150 days. Christ has truly foretold us all things, “as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be,(Matthew 24:37).

Question 3:

Name: Gwen
Question: This question might be long. Is the Talmud the same as the Babylonian Talmud? The Jews that study the Talmud are they what you call orthodox Jews? And if the answer is yes, do they go to the western wall to pray? If they are orthodox Jews, do they still wear the little hats on their heads? I know that sounds like a strange question, but that will lead to another question at another time. I read an article on the Talmud by Michael Hoffman, which I thought was well written, but is it all true what the Talmud says? That they don’t believe in Jesus, or God and hate the gentiles/Christians? In other words they can do anything they want to the gentiles/Christians that they want and never be punished for it? Okay so I have 2 questions, Is the oral Torah the seven Noahide laws? Love your site, just cannot get enough, have read all your bible studies (more than a couple of times each).

Answer:

Name: Brandon T. Ward
Answer: Gwen thank you for the question and we are happy to hear you are enjoying the site.

Orthodox Jews are typically those who wear the black clothing and large hats with two curls of long hair on the side of their face.

The Talmud does say some very vile things about Christ though He is not specifically mentioned, it is clear who they are talking about. They do not believe in Christ, they do not believe Him to be the Messiah.

The Talmud does promote the teaching that they are above everyone else. Even most Christians believe they are lower than those who claim to be of Judah. For the record, God loves all of His children and it is important for us to understand, “there is no respect of persons with God,” (Romans 2:11).

It is interesting to note that is it fairly difficult to find a Talmud online to read and reference, while the Bible can be found with a simple search.

The Torah is simply the first five books of the Bible, those written by Moses.

While it is good to have some basic understanding about other faiths, I would caution our readers from spending a lot of time reading other religious writings. Why do I say that? Because it takes us away from our Father’s Letter, one that has everlasting rewards.

Question 4:

Name: Driving For God
Question: Hi Brandon, I was wondering if you could help me out here. My question is about the elect of God. Do they need to be redeemed by Christ? My understanding is that they overcame Satan in the first earth age, and thereby, already had their white throne judgment; therefore, have already achieved their salvation. I realize that God’s elect are not perfect, and all of us get dirty while walking in the flesh; and therefore, need his blood to wash away our earthly sins; but as salvation goes, don’t they already have it from the first earth age? I ask this question because of what is written in Revelation 14:3-4; where there it reads that the 144,000 were redeemed [purchased] from among men and redeemed from the earth. So, is there need for Christ to buy back the elect? How can Christ purchase an elect, for He already owns them?

Additionally; as a fact, I know that the elect can “lose” their salvation by refusing to allow the Holy Spirit to speak through them if they are delivered up for a testimony against Satan. If you could, please help me out here Brandon, I would be very grateful; for I am trying to seek out an answer to these questions before I move on to any follow up questions that I might have that is in relationship to this topic.

Thanks again for all you time and hard work. You are definitely making a difference in this world.

Answer:

Name: Brandon T. Ward
Answer: Thank you for the question and kind words Driving for God. We thank our Father for helping us share His Word.

You are correct, a few people stood with our Father and against Satan in The First Earth Age. Does that mean they were judged at that point and have everlasting life because of that action? I do not believe so and we are going to document it. Instead, it qualified them for positions of the Remnant who have handed down the Word of God from one generation to the next and also the Elect who God will use during the end times.

Moses brother Aaron was actually chosen by our Father to be the High Priest (Exodus 28:1, Numbers 3:10, 17:1-8, Hebrews 5:4). Yet even Aaron sinned against God even though Aaron witnessed the events of passover, the Exodus and the miracles along the way including the parting of the Red Sea. How could you possibly turn your back on our Father after seeing that? Aaron did, please turn your Bible with me to,

Exodus 32:1-4
1 “And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.”

2 “And Aaron said unto them, Break off the golden earrings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them unto me.”

3 “And all the people brake off the golden earrings which were in their ears, and brought them unto Aaron.”

4 “And he received them at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and they said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.”

So we see Aaron who was chosen by God and who witnessed miracles by our Father leave His side. Obviously Aaron would need to repent for what he did otherwise he would not be fit for God.

Let us also not forget about Saul who later became Paul? He railed against the church and Christ Himself had to intervene to set Saul straight on the road to Damascus (Acts 9:1-19). These were great men of the Bible who fell along the way due to weakness of the flesh (Matthew 26:40-41). It is my opinion there is no chance that God would grant someone eternal life and still allow them to walk in the flesh.

You documented yourself if the Elect refuse the Holy Spirit that is the unpardonable sin and would require their death. This alone documents they have not been judged (Matthew 12:31, Luke 12:12, Mark 13:11). There is only one White Throne Judgement which is the final judgement and that is at the end of the Millennium (Revelation 20:11-15).

However, those who overcame in the past (during this flesh age) and those who will overcome the Tribulation of Satan will be Judged right at Christ’s return, this too documents they were not prejudged, but had to earn their Salvation through Christ in this age of flesh. Please turn your Bible with me to,

Revelation 20:6
6 “Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.”

Notice, the first resurrection, there is only one more which is the White Throne Judgement.

From the scripture already given it is not possible for anyone to have been judged in The First Earth Age. If we are in a flesh body then it surely means we have something to prove. As you mentioned already, “all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God,(Romans 3:23). As a matter of fact, “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us,(1 John 1:8-10).

So if we all have sinned than it means we have fallen short of God’s Glory and we need redemption and without that we have no Salvation. Yet another case in point, if we walk the earth in the flesh then it means we need the atoning blood of Christ (Acts 4:10-12). How do we obtain it? “If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved,” (Romans 10:9). If, that is very conditional and requires work on our part in the flesh, if we do not do that work, we do not obtain Salvation.

It is my opinion if we had been judged in The First Earth Age we would be drinking lemonade in Heaven with the likes of Gabriel and Michael.
