Bible Question and Answer
Welcome to our bi-weekly post Bible Question, Answer and Discussion where we provide Bible verses, answers and advice to the questions and concerns you have. During the course of the last two weeks readers have submitted their questions and today we are going to answer some of them. So please join us and feel free to chime in on the discussion in the comments section below this post.

Before we get into this week’s questions we would like to point out that you are helping to spread the Word of God by your continued submission of questions. Because of your ongoing participation these Q&A posts have been read thousands of times. Without your participation this section of our site would not exist. So if you have a Biblical or non-Biblical question you would like to ask, submit it now for our next edition of “Bible: Question, Answer and Discussion“.

Question 1:

Name: Winnie
Question: Dear Brandon,

Thank you for taking time to read and answer all our questions. I have 2 questions:
1. My pastor says we only have to be saved once and after your saved there is no way you will be condemned to hell. What is your take on that?
2. Could it be that God is referring to His children mixing with the kenites when He says do not be unequally yoked?

Thanks
Winnie

Answer:

Name: Brandon T. Ward
Answer: Thank you for the questions Winnie.

Your pastor is teaching the “once saved always saved” doctrine of men. This teaching is not found in the Bible. Sin without repentance is a mark on your record in Heaven. What did Christ do for us when He died on the Cross? He washed away our sins upon repentance. If you do not repent, you are not washed from the sin.

The Bible teaches the exact opposite of what your pastor said. Please turn your Bible with me to,

2 Peter 2:20-21
20For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.”

21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

This verse alone makes it very clear, if we come to know Christ and turn from the ways of the world and then fall back we will be punished far more severely than if we had never known Christ to begin with. This verse completely destroys the false concept of “once saved always saved“. We provided additional verses in a previous Bible Q&A that can be found here.

When someone tells you God’s Word says this or that politely and respectfully ask them to provide scripture so you can reference it for yourself.

Winnie we are going to squeeze your second question in here as well. Please turn your Bible with me to,

2 Corinthians 6:14
14Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?”

The subject here is how we are to conduct ourselves as “ministers(Strong’s: 1249) of God, simply meaning “teachers and pastors” of God. So this verse is saying we should not connect ourselves with unbelievers. This does not only apply to teachers and pastors, but all of us. Why? “For what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness?

Just as the verse stated, if we are of the Light then naturally that Light cannot exist with darkness. If someone does not have our Father’s Spirit they are in darkness. This certainly does not mean we cannot pull them out. That is our job as a child of God, to try and help them into the Kingdom. However, if they wish to stay where they are it is not going to lift you up to continue your relationship with that individual. This is not to say you cannot communicate with the individual, but I would caution a close relationship with a non-believer. Why? While we all think we are strong Christians a non-believer does not hold the same interests as you and it is a perfect opportunity for Satan to sneak in and try to snatch you away from Christ. Do not give Satan the opportunity.

Question 2:

Name: Patty
Question: For some time now I have wondered what it will be like during the first tribulation, as I am sure others also wonder. In the 9/21/16 issue of the World Events newsletter regarding the pastor who made a stand for Christ against the gay/lesbian teaching, you stated in the web note “This is all practice for the Tribulation of Satan when things will truly be uncomfortable to say the least.” Can you please help me to understand what we can actually expect and where in the Bible God tells us this? The more I know, the more prepared I can be. Thank you.

Answer:

Name: Brandon T. Ward
Answer: Patty, thank you for the question.

Before I answer, some of our readers may be wondering what you are referring to when you said the “first tribulation“. This would be the Tribulation of Satan when Satan reigns on earth as Christ. I will say I personally do not call Christ’s return the second tribulation. The return of Christ is not going to be a tribulation for you and I because we are going to stand for Him during the Tribulation of Satan, not against Him. The return of Christ will not be a time of trouble for us in the least. However, the Tribulation of Satan will be a time of trouble for us which now leads us into your question.

You are referring to this article titled, “Canadian Pastor Ordered to Allow Gay-Straight Alliances at His Christian Schools“. Within that article we made the statement that Patty quoted for our readers understanding.

What I meant by that quote is even today some people are starting to make a bold stand for Christ and some of them are going to suffer for it. Christ told us to ‘take up our cross, and follow him‘ and we should be prepared to do just that (Matthew 16:24). What this pastor is probably going through is only a small glimpse of what the Tribulation will actually be like for us. Imagine the personal hate mail and other unknowns this man is dealing with for just a moment. And he made a stand for one simple tenant of the Bible.

Now fast forward to the Tribulation and imagine Satan, the perceived Christ by the world is standing on earth. Imagine the entire world worshiping Satan and his system believing it is Christ and His Kingdom on earth.

Now stop and think for a moment.

You being the sweet Christian you are have told people your entire life about our Lord and Savior. Those same people are going to be worshiping Satan believing him to be Christ and what are you going to tell them? ‘He is a fake, it is really Satan deceiving all of you.’ If you thought some of these people laughed at you before just wait until you drop that line on them. Let them laugh. However and in all seriousness your actions are going to offend many Christians who may even try to harm you. When you tell them the perceived Christ is actually Satan they are going to shout you down for blasphemy.

Remember, unless you accept Satan as the messiah you are not going to be able to buy or sell in his system. This means you are going to be cut off from everything you know and consume today (Revelation 13:17). How often do you go to the store to buy the things you need to sustain your household? Once or twice a week? Forget about it when Satan is on earth, so plan ahead.

I am sure none of us are going to show up at work either. Why would you if you cannot buy or sell? The entire point of working is to earn a paycheck to support your family, yet that check would be useless to you as you cannot participate in the system which I believe would include the work force anyway. In the end let them force you out, provide for your family as long and hard as you can. We could all think of hundreds of scenario’s and they are good to think about.

However, none of this should scare you Patty, that is not the point of our site. The point is to educate the people in scripture and get them to critically think about the Word of God and the world around us. We do have a study on preparation that I would like you to read titled, “Preparing Our Households for the Tribulation” in addition to “Mark of the Beast Revealed“.

Question 3:

Name: Gwen
Question: Hello Brandon
Do you think that we have been truly free as American’s? Or has it just been an illusion that they created for us? I thought that this nation was really blessed at one time, but I am not so sure anymore. they have been working on this new world order for 100’s of years, it’s worse then I could ever imagine.
God Bless

Answer:

Name: Brandon T. Ward
Answer: Thank you for the question Gwen.

I do believe this nation was blessed at one time, that time has long since passed. Did God leave the nation? No, the nation left God. Before I move on from that point, understand that is at a national level. Do not think for a moment that means God left you. Our Father will never leave you or forsake you, so stand by Him (Deuteronomy 31:6-8).

If we turn back the hands of time we will see this nation has been manipulated for a while now. I think the worst of it started in 1913 with the founding of the Federal Reserve which is not a Federal bank rather a private one. This also marked the point in time when the Federal Income Tax came into existence (Amendment 16). Many debate over the legality of this today. In the end if you do not pay you will be locked up. Speaking of locked up, despite the “freedom” we enjoy in this nation the United States only has 5% of the world’s population, yet it holds 25% of the world’s prisoners! According to the CIA Fact-book the US is ranked 19th in the world in per capita GDP. How about quality of life? The US ranks anywhere from 10th-14th in the world. Economic freedom, 10th in the world. Press freedom, 41st in the world.

Speaking of the press, it is completely manipulated and owned by just a handful of companies who own nearly everything else. Everything we see and interact with in our daily life has been manipulated by the children of Satan to condition our minds to see things their way. That may sound like a tough stretch for some. Ask yourself why there are only two candidates running for the highest office in the nation? Two candidates most people did not want in the first place. Ask yourself why “celebrities” whose only inherent trait to society is their appearance yet they make all the headlines. Ask yourself why the media stirs up race relations. I could go on and on. There is a four-minute video we posted on our site a few years ago of a fictional movie yet the message is so clear about the manipulation of the media, I would encourage you to watch it.

So yes Gwen, I do feel we live in an illusion to a degree. We are told constantly we need to remove firearms from the public for their own safety. Firearms that offer our only line of defense for our families. We are patted down at the airports and stopped on our own highways while traveling near the borders. We have become the suspects in our own nation all in the name of “freedom“, “peace” and “security“. I call it conditioning which is exactly what it is.

You sound like you are aware of some of these things which can certainly be disheartening. Should you let it bother you? Not a chance. Why? It will literally suck the life out of you. Understand these things and know why they exist, but do not let them consume you and tear up your heart. We have a much better nation that we will inherit Gwen. The Eternal Kingdom of our Father (Daniel 7:18). Focus on that.

We would like to thank our Father for giving us this platform in order to spread His most precious Word. We would also like to thank our readers for submitting their questions and giving us the opportunity to share them with the audience.
