WEB Notes: Yet back in September he vowed to repeal “every single obama executive order.” trump said he would do it, not that he would wait and let Congress do it. As president, trump would have the power to wipe out all of obama’s executive orders if he really wanted to. The fact that he is now back tracking once again proves he actually wants these executive orders to stay in place. No one should be surprised by this. The new boss is the same as the old boss.
Donald Trump suggested in an interview with Sean Hannity that he won’t rescind every executive order issued by President Barack Obama, because Congress is capable of doing it themselves.
Trump’s prerecorded interview aired Thursday night on FOX News Channel’s “Hannity” program. The topic of executive orders came up when Hannity asked how Trump would go about implementing his agenda, and raised the possibility of rescinding executive orders issued by Obama. With Republicans controlling at least one house of Congress for six of his eight years in office, Obama repeatedly used executive orders to advance his agenda in areas like education, immigration, and health care.
