The Timeline of the Tribulation: Chapter 3 - The Release of the Four Winds

The Timeline of the Tribulation: Chapter 3 – The Release of the Four Winds

By: Brandon T. Ward

Understanding the timing of events that transpire at the release of the Four Winds is extremely critical if we hope to comprehend the final events of this age of flesh. We discovered in Chapter 2 of this study the Goat of Daniel 8 is symbolic for the current global structure in place today. After the conflict with the Ram (Iran), our next sign will be to see this structure fail which is the breaking of the Goat’s horn in Daniel 8, no doubt due to various global issues being; political and economic in nature.

This will be the moment in time when the Four Winds are loosened. The moment when the Sealing of our Father’s Saints (Election) has been completed. The moment when the Seven Trumpets begin to sound. The moment when the four beasts of Daniel rise which are simply four offices of the six kingdom that will be led by Ten Clay Kings. This will be the completion of the children of Satan’s work, but it will not stand as this will lead to the Deadly Wound which will usher in Satan and his angels which and only then initiates the Tribulation.

Before we start our Bible study, let us ask our Father for wisdom and understanding of His Word, in Jesus Name amen.

We should understand the Four Winds that will be loosened on the earth are not literal winds, nor will they bring about a literal storm. Rather, they are symbolic for our Father’s Spirit being poured out onto the earth. It is our Father’s Spirit that will warm the hearts of those who love Him while burning the hearts of those who hate Him (Revelation 16:9).

The release of the Four Winds will initiate the final events of this age of flesh and they will bring about a great storm that will converge on and affect earthly men. This great storm will magnify with intensity when Satan appears on earth bringing his flood of lies with him and drowning those who have not prepared their spiritual ark.

At this time the Four Winds are being held back until the Sealing of our Father’s Saints has been completed. This Sealing locks the truth of God’s Word into their minds whereby they cannot be deceived or harmed by Satan and his angels (Revelation 9:4-5). The Sealing will consist of 144,000 individuals, 12,000 from each of the Twelve Tribes of Israel make up this total (Revelation 7:4-9). Of course, this does not include the ethnos who are the ethnic peoples, however, we know there is an untold number of them who are Sealed as well and they will stand for our Father during the Tribulation (Revelation 7:9). Remember, God’s Word is essentially about Adam and his family down through the ages so we are only given specifics about them and not necessarily everyone else on earth.

Let us now document the Four Winds are not loosened until the Saints are Sealed, an event that marks the initiation of the sounding of the Seven Trumpets.

Please turn your Bible with me to,

Revelation 7:1
1 “And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.”

The book of Revelation is filled with symbology and we will explain as we go. The four corners of the earth are naturally; north, south, east and west. So we should understand the great storm that will be unleashed at the release of the Four Winds will affect the entire earth. We know from Revelation 17:15 “the waters which thou sawest, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.” We also know that trees are symbolic for men as well which we documented in our study, “The Garden of Eden: The Origins of Satan’s Seed”.

Now pay close attention, the wind should not what? Blow on the earth, on the sea or on the trees. This is important to remember as it will mark a time sequence with respect to the sounding of the Seven Trumpets.

Revelation 7:2
2 “And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,”

We have now been given additional information. The Four Winds will not simply blow on the “earth“, “sea” and “trees“, their release causes a destructive result. I want to make it clear we should not be looking for physical damage, this is spiritual in nature, this is a spiritual storm that will be released on earthly men.

Revelation 7:3
3 “Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.”

Pay very close attention to what verse three actually said, this is your take away here. We were given very specific details about a “hurt” inflicted on the “earth“, “sea and “trees which specifically correlates to Revelation 8 and marks the time sequence when the Seven Trumpets begin to sound. We are going to learn in this study the Four Winds must be released before any of the Seven Trumpets begin to sound.

The Seal spoken of by the Angel is symbolic and that should be clear as the Angel said the Seal is placed ‘in the Saints forehead’ which means their brain, their mind. People are not going to walk around with a literal seal on their forehead just as those who receive Satan’s mark will not walk around with a literal mark. Both of these marks or seals are “in” the individual’s forehead, it is what you believe and the actions you take according to those beliefs, not a physical indicator.

It should be clear to you the release of the Four Winds that unleash this great storm on earthly men (“hurt”), cannot begin until the Saints have been Sealed, that is how important the Sealing is to God. The entire reason the Saints must be Sealed with our Father’s Word is to protect them from the lies and deception of these end times. To protect them from the spiritual slaughter of Satan and his angels when they appear on earth at the Sixth Trumpet. This Sealing has been going on for years and continues even to this day and it is obtained by the Saints through their diligent study of our Father’s Word and their love for Him.

We are now going back in time for a moment to the days of Moses and the Israelite bondage in Egypt. The Ten Plagues of Egypt did not affect the land of Goshen where the Israelites lived. Rather they were sealed against the harmful effects of those plagues. If you recall our Father send Pharoah strong delusion by hardening his heart over and over again (Exodus 9:12). God did this to provide a witness through the use of The Ten Plagues for not only the people of Egypt, but for the entire world, so they would know that the Israelites God, was God (Exodus 9:14).

On another level we are going to see this same scenario unfold in the future after the release of the Four Winds. God has said if you want to believe a lie, He will send you strong delusion that you will believe those lies. Unfortunately, many in this world ‘take pleasure in unrighteousness’ and that will lead them right into Satan’s arms (2 Thessalonians 2:10-12). Today we even see that the Christian faith has been compromised to no end by false teachings, lies and deception. In the end, the Saints who receive the Seal of God, who receive the Latter Rain will bring many out of confusion through the Holy Spirit. They will work in tandem with the Two Witnesses and weather the great storm on earth in those days. Just before the end of the Tribulation it will be the Saints and the Two Witnesses led by the Holy Spirit who will have shown the entire world that our God, is God.

I now ask that you turn your Bible with me to,

Revelation 8:2, 6
2 “And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.”

6 “And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.”

The Trumpets are also symbolic like much of Revelation, they simply mark the initiation of the events that are described within the Trumpet, they are a call to action. Think of battlefields long ago and the actions that take place after the sound of a trumpet.

Revelation 8:7
7 “The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.”

What did we just learn from Revelation 7:1-3? The release of the Four Winds allows the “earth“, “sea” and “trees” to be harmed. God’s Word just documented for you at the sound of the First Trumpet the “earth” and “trees” are harmed. This means the release of the Four Winds must occur before the Seven Trumpets can begin to sound.

The “earth” in this verse is simply our domain, so we know this will transpire here on earth in front of and too earthly men. The “sea” is symbolic for the people along with the “trees” and “grass,” being green, is the natural recognized color of life itself. Further, in order for grass to thrive the soil must stay moist from the rain, the Latter Rain. Think about this grass that is scorched and then bring your mind to the three in the fiery furnace. A furnace that was heated seven times hotter than necessary and it still could not harm our Father’s Saints due to His protection.

We see our Father’s Spirit through the release of the Four Winds, the great end times storm causing a destructive result to a third of the men on earth. In our study, “Satan’s Sin” we learned a third of God’s children willingly followed Satan in The First Earth Age. I believe there is essentially always a third of the people in life who fall into this category, those who follow Satan instead of our Father, those who ‘take pleasure in unrighteousness,’ (2 Thessalonians 2:10-12).

We should note in Revelation 9:4 Satan’s locust army which is ultimately under the command of our Father is not allowed to “hurt” any “tree,” meaning men, except for those who do not have “the Seal of God in their foreheads”. This documents for you not only is the Seal of God required before the Four Winds can be released, but this Seal protects the Saints from Satan and the locust army (the supernatural portion) he brings to the earth with him.

You should have noticed at the sound of the First Trumpet we read of an action that duplicates what Moses and the Israelites witnessed in Egypt, the seventh plague that befell Egypt of hail and fire. Only this time, in our future this event is symbolic for our Father’s Spirit being poured out onto the earth. Hail comes down with great force as our Father’s Spirit does and will. Our Father is a consuming Fire and He is coming to send fire on the earth and this is the start of it, the fire we are supposed to be kindling (Hebrews 12:29, Luke 12:49). This is the fire, His Holy Spirit that will warm the hearts of the Saints that are Sealed and bring them the Latter Rain, the same fire that will burn the hearts of those who hate our Father.

We must make one more note about Egypt before we move on. Who sent the plagues on Egypt? Our Father did. Satan was only able to cause destruction when our Father allowed it and that was when Satan “the destroyer” was released on the first born of Egypt. This event marked the first passover and only those who placed the blood of the lamb on and over their doorposts, their seal were protected by God from Satan “the destroyer”. However, Satan was able to destroy the first born of those that did not have the blood of the lamb on the two side and upper posts of their door, Satan was able to destroy those who did not have a seal of protection (Exodus 12:23). There is nothing new under the sun, just as in Egypt, Satan will not be able to spiritually harm those with the Seal of God during the Tribulation, only those without it (Ecclesiastes 1:9). Remember, the Tribulation of Satan is a spiritual war, not a physical war of blood.

Let us continue.

Revelation 8:8
8 “And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;”

We already know the waters are symbolic for the people of the earth while mountains are symbolic for nations (Revelation 17:9;15, Daniel 2:35,44, Isaiah 2:2). I believe this mountain will be the completion of the sixth kingdom when it comes into full being.

We should also note we have yet another plague that befell Egypt where Moses through our Father turned the waters of Egypt to blood (Exodus 7:14–25). The waters became undrinkable, but not for God’s children in Goshen. Not for those who stood by our Father and the same applies for us in these end times. Our spiritual water will not become polluted and undrinkable as we partake of the Living Water of Christ, a water that comes from Heaven not earth, a water delivered by the Latter Rain (John 4:14, Revelation 22:1-2; 17).

Revelation 8:9
9 “And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.”

Ships transport goods which has been the case since the beginning of time. So not only do we see the spiritual destruction of men, but we see the destruction of global trade or better said the global financial system.

Your take away here is when the Second Trumpet sounds the “sea” is harmed as we were told would occur when the Four Winds are loosened by the Four Angels holding them at bay. Further, at the sound of the Third Trumpet the other waters of the earth are harmed as well which naturally flow into the “sea”. This verse along with Revelation 8:7 which we already covered locks in the fact that the Seven Trumpets of Revelation do not begin to sound until the Four Winds have been released. This event also marks the point in time when the Sealing of the Saints has come to a completion.

It will not take years and decades for the Trumpets to sound. They will start to sound at the release of the Four Winds which initiates the final events of this age of flesh and occurs shortly before Satan is cast out of Heaven onto earth.

Essentially, we have Four Angels who are waiting to release the Four Winds and when they release the Four Winds this action signals the Sealing of our Father’s Saints is complete. It also means the Seven Angels which have the Seven Trumpets can begin to sound and when they do, the Four Angels who released the Four Winds will be allowed to inflict this “hurt” as described within each Trumpet, a “hurt” which increases the intensity of the great storm we have been discussing.

We are now going to learn more about the events that transpire at the release of the Four Winds. Please turn your Bible with me to,

Daniel 7:1-2
1 “In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and visions of his head upon his bed: then he wrote the dream, and told the sum of the matters.”

2 “Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea.”

These are the same Four Winds that we have been discussing, those found in Revelation 7 and notice they strove upon the “sea”. We already know the waters are the peoples of the earth so we see these Four Winds, this great storm converging on earthly men.

Let us continue.

Daniel 7:3
3 “And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another.”

These are the same four beasts that are documented in Daniel 8:8,22. These four beasts are not the kingdoms of Daniel 2 which we covered in Chapter 1 of this study.

We know this for a fact as these four beasts do not rise until after the Four Winds are released which is still future to us today. Then in verse 17 we are told, “These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth.” Meaning, it was a future event at the time of Daniel’s vision. Yet, we know at the time of Daniel Babylon and Medo-Persia had already risen documenting they are not the kingdoms being described in the verse we just read.

Further, we know the five kingdoms of Daniel 2 rose and fell one in place of the other and we are currently under the power of the sixth kingdom today. Finally, these four beasts of Daniel 7 arise at the time of the end and exist together.

Daniel 7:4-7
4 “The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man’s heart was given to it.”

5 “And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh.”

6 “After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it.”

7 “After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.”

These four beasts including the Ten Horns essentially fulfill and are a part of the sixth head, the sixth kingdom of Revelation 17. These four beasts also resemble the Beast of Revelation 13 as it is in fact the same Beast in part. These four beasts are merely offices of the sixth head, the sixth kingdom which exists even today, though these four beasts do not exist at this time and will not until the release of the Four Winds.

As all kingdoms mature over time, we are simply seeing this sixth head, sixth kingdom continue to grow and gain power with the release of the Four Winds. This fourth beast no doubt is the absolute power of the children of Satan who will eventually wrestle control of the earth away from the other three offices (beasts) of power. We know these four beasts are not Satan or his seventh kingdom as the Angel interprets for us verse 17 stating the four kingdoms “shall arise out of the earth(Daniel 7:17,23-24). Satan’s supernatural kingdom will come from Heaven, not earth.

It is at this point we begin to see the Deadly Wound take shape with the fourth beast trampling on the other three beasts as documented in verse 12 where we are turning in a moment. It will no doubt be at least three of the Ten Clay Kings who cause this by their actions, possibly their response to our Father’s Saints making a stand before the world though that is only my opinion.

We should understand the children of Satan will acquire this additional power after the political destruction of the Ram and Goat from Daniel 8. There will be a controlled global meltdown, a collapse of our current global structure from all sides that will lead to the rise of these four beasts and the Ten Clay Kings, which are the fulfillment of the children of Satan’s sixth kingdom. The entire world will beg for an alternative to the nation states of today and will cite the endless wars, political strife and economic uncertainty that plagues us today. The children of Satan will offer an unrefusable solution to the world’s problems, a one world government they can more easily manage. I cannot stress enough, this event is not the Deadly Wound. Remember, at this point in our study the Tribulation of Satan has not yet begun.

We will discuss the Ten Horns after the next verse.

Daniel 7:8
8 “I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.”

The “Little Horn” is Satan himself. We can provide a double witness by reading Revelation 13:5 and note the Dragon who is Satan has “a mouth speaking great things,” documenting we are discussing the same entity (Revelation 12:7-9).

The Ten Horns of verse 7 which are the same horns of verse 8 are symbolic for the Ten Clay Kings. Satan removes three of these Clay Kings from power at his appearance. At this point, the Tribulation has now begun and what we have just read is no doubt a part of the healing of the Deadly Wound. This means Satan has been cast from Heaven to earth, he is physically on earth but, woe to us (Revelation 12:12).

It is important to understand there are two separate sets of Ten Kings which we discussed in Chapter 1 of this study. Daniel 2:41-43 documents the ten toes are “part of potters’ clay which are the Ten Clay Kings (Flesh Kings) that are partly broken, “and part of iron” which are the Ten Iron Kings (Satan’s Supernatural Kings) that are partly strong and they both represent a divided kingdom. Being the sixth (Clay Kingdom) and seventh kingdom (Iron Kingdom) that will merge at Satan’s appearance when he heals the Deadly Wound to the sixth kingdom.

Pay close attention, verses 7 and 8 documented the Ten Horns, the Ten Clay Kings exist before the appearance of Satan and the Angel tells us in verse 24, “the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them”. That other that rises after the Ten Clay Kings is the “Little Horn” who is Satan that we just read of and documents these Ten Clay Kings rule before Satan is cast from Heaven to the earth.

When the “Little Horn“, Satan appears on earth claiming to be Jesus Christ he will remove three of the Ten Clay Kings. This only leaves seven Clay Kings in power and documents the Ten Kings of Revelation 17:12 that reign for “One Hour” are in fact the Ten Iron Kings, the Ten Supernatural Kings that Satan brings to the earth with him (Revelation 12:7-9).

That Hour, is the Hour of Temptation, the Tribulation, the one week of Daniel, the time Satan stands on earth claiming to be the world’s Savior (Revelation 3:10).

Further, the Ten Iron Kings, the Ten Supernatural Kings that Satan brings to the earth with him are referred to in Joel 2 as the Locust Army and they do make up that army in part. Joel will further document Satan’s angels “shall not break their ranks,” meaning they stay loyal to Satan which means there is no reason for Satan to remove his own from power. Documenting there are in fact two separate sets of Ten Kings, one set clay and one set iron.

Let us continue and listen to the interpretation the Angel provides.

Daniel 7:23
23 “Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.”

Remember, the Angel himself told us these four beasts are four kings in verse 17, which simply means a king and his dominion. God’s Word does not contradict itself, we know there are to be eight kingdom’s upon the earth as we documented in Chapter 1 of this study. These four beasts, these four kingdoms are appointed after the Four Winds are released and are in fact a part of the sixth head, the sixth kingdom which is the children of Satan’s kingdom.

Daniel 7:24
24 “And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.”

The three that fell are three of the Ten Clay Kings as we discussed prior. Satan will appear on earth to remove them from power as by their hand they will have caused a Deadly Wound to the new global structure, most likely due to the fourth beast trampling on the other three beasts as we learned in Daniel 7:23.

This wound will be so grievous that it cannot be recovered from by flesh men, not even the children of Satan can repair this wound. While the children of Satan have worked for thousands of years to capture their one world government, this will be the moment they actually lose control. This will be the moment when the world utterly descends into chaos and then and only then will Satan appear on earth claiming to be the Savior.
