“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
In order to properly understand this verse, please go back and read beginning with verse 25. You will come to understand our Father is telling us we should not worry about what we are going to eat or how we will cloth ourselves.
“For your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things,” (Matthew 6:32). Matthew 6:8 goes even further and explains our Father knows we have need of these things before we even ask Him for them.
As we learned in a recent Bible Verse of the Day, we need to stay confident and be patient and then we will receive the promise of God and today’s Verse of the Day is yet another promise from our Father.
If we seek His Kingdom first, that means reading His Word and sharing it with our family and friends when we are able, then we are seeking and expanding His Kingdom. When we do that, He will add onto us the blessings He has promised.
They may not come when you think they should, but they will come. Your Father just guaranteed it.
