“O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;”
God’s Word is so alive and full of detail. The more you study the Bible the more it springs to life.
In these end times we long for spiritual sustenance, there is not much truth from God’s Word taught and many of us spiritually are hungry and thirsty. We hunger for our Father’s Letter and thirst for the Truth found within.
Please turn your Bible with me to,
11 “Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD.”
The famine of the end times is not about literal bread or water, but for hearing the truth of our Father’s Word. We have many religions today and many flavors of Christianity who all offer some variation of truth but nothing really founded in the Word. This is exactly what our Father is talking about in this verse.
Where can we obtain this spiritual bread then?
35 “And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.”
Where can we obtain this spiritual water if that is not already clear to us?
13 “Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:”
14 “But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.”
We need physical food to sustain our physical bodies, but we also need spiritual food to sustain and strengthen our spirit. We need this to learn and grow in the Word in order to turn into mature Christians.
