1 Timothy 2:1-2
“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.”
Why do we say these prayers?
“That we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.” Good leaders of course will make this come to pass, while bad leaders will not. Good leaders do not promote and force homosexuality on us. That is not leading “a quite and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.” That is promoting perversion. Pray for things to change, but never embrace sin or leaders promoting sin.
Verse 3 tells us if we live quiet and peaceable that is “good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour“.
One more verse,
1 Timothy 2:4
4 “Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”
Good leader or bad, our Father wants all of the leaders and all of the people to be saved. That is His Will, that they come to understand “the knowledge of the Truth” and accept Him. Unfortunately, they will not.
