Bible Verse of the Day – Romans 8:1-2

Romans 8:1-2
1 “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”

2 “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.”

We are not to walk after the ways of flesh as it is corruptible and leads us to sin. The flesh tells us we need this or that to be happy. Yet, if we focus on the spiritual aspect, if we can bring our minds completely to that realm so much of the fleshly desires melt away and do not become tempting to us.

Bible Verse of the Day – Colossians 4:5-6

Colossians 4:5-6
5 “Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.”

6 “Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.”

There are many who are lost in the world today, they are unable to find Christ’s Light among the dark world we live in. That is why we must reflect His Light, so the world can find Christ (Matthew 5:14-16). Use the wisdom you have obtained from God’s Word and when possible share that Word with others, bring that wisdom forward.

Bible Verse of the Day – 1 Thessolonians 5:16-18

1 Thessolonians 5:16-18
16 “Rejoice evermore.”

17 “Pray without ceasing.”

18 “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

We should always rejoice and honor our Father thanking Him through prayer. We can be thankful for having that spiritual connection with our Father, while we have obtained that there are many who are still lost in the world. We can pray that they too find the Light.

Bible Verse of the Day – James 5:16

Bible Verse of the Day

James 5:16
“Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

Sometimes we do things in life that we are not very proud of, sometimes even causing others a great deal of harm. However, we can become free of the bondage we placed ourselves in if we repent of our sins. If we have a true change of heart and then come to our Father through prayer and ask Him for forgiveness, our faults can be washed away because Christ was worthy. (Revelation 5:12).

Bible Verse of the Day – Philippians 4:6-7

Philippians 4:6-7
6 “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”

7 “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Be careful for nothing, meaning take thought of nothing. Many of us get so caught up with the troubles of life that we let them take over and consume us.

Bible Verse of the Day – 2 Chronicles 7:14

Bible Verse of the Day

2 Chronicles 7:14
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

God’s people who are called by whose name? The Lord Jesus Christ, we go by His name and we are called Christians.

Bible Verse of the Day – Romans 12:12

Romans 12:12
“Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer.”

We should rejoice in the eternal hope of His salvation promise.

Bible Verse of the Day – 1 John 5:14-15

1 John 5:14-15
14 “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:”

15 “And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”

The key phrase here is that we ask it to be our Father’s will, not our own. We can pray all we want for a new Corvette in our driveway, but that would not be God’s will… Let us ask ourselves, what is God’s will? That we spread the Gospel message throughout the earth (Mark 16:15). That all come to repentance though they will not (2 Peter 3:9). Our Father wants to save as many souls as possible so His will needs to become our will.

Bible Verse of the Day – Hebrews 11:6

Hebrews 11:6  “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

By faith we are saved, we must believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He was raised from the dead (John 3:16, Romans 10:9). You cannot con God, you either believe or you do not, there is no middle ground here. If we truly believe in our Father than we need to follow His Commandments and “diligently” seek Him in His Word so we can understand more about Him and His plan.

Bible Verse of the Day – Ephesians 4:15

Ephesians 4:15 “But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:”

We can glean a lot more from this scripture by reading the chapter. In verse 5-6 we are told, “One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all“. Then in verse 14 we read, “That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive.

Bible Verse of the Day – Job 19:25

Job 19:25  “For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:”

What a powerful and meaningful verse this is. Our Redeemer is the Lord Jesus Christ as Galatians 3:13 documents. He died for us to redeem us of our sins, becoming our Passover Lamb and removing the need for blood sacrifice.
