Bible Verse of the Day – Proverbs 31:30

Bible Verse of the Day and Thoughts

Proverbs 31:30
“Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.”

Bible Verse of the Day – Proverbs 31:10, 27-28

Bible Verse of the Day and Thoughts

Proverbs 31:10, 27-28
10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.

28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.

The women of our households should be praised for what they do. Society today tells woman that in order to big successful they must go find a career in the world and leave the family nest. But as these scriptures document, a woman who takes care of the home is worth more than rubies!

Bible Verse of the Day – Ephesians 4:32

Bible Verse of the Day and Thoughts

Ephesians 4:32
“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”

Ephesians 4 is a great chapter, I would encourage you to read all of it. The take away here is if we have repented of our sins, then our Father has forgiven us. So likewise, be kind to your fellow brother and neighbor forgiving them of their trespasses against you. That was yesterday’s Bible Verse of the Day message.

Bible Verse of the Day – Matthew 18:15

Bible Verse of the Day and Thoughts

Matthew 18:15
“Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.”

Did you catch the key word there? If. As Christians we are the body of Christ. Meaning we all make up that body, I am the finger you are the arm, etc. If we have trouble with a brother we always want to settle that between one another if possible. As Christians one of our jobs is to set a good example and Christians fighting with one another is a poor example of Christ.

Bible Verse of the Day – Romans 8:1-2

Romans 8:1-2
1 “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”

2 “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.”

We are not to walk after the ways of flesh as it is corruptible and leads us to sin. The flesh tells us we need this or that to be happy. Yet, if we focus on the spiritual aspect, if we can bring our minds completely to that realm so much of the fleshly desires melt away and do not become tempting to us.

Bible Verse of the Day – Colossians 4:5-6

Colossians 4:5-6
5 “Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.”

6 “Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.”

There are many who are lost in the world today, they are unable to find Christ’s Light among the dark world we live in. That is why we must reflect His Light, so the world can find Christ (Matthew 5:14-16). Use the wisdom you have obtained from God’s Word and when possible share that Word with others, bring that wisdom forward.

Bible Verse of the Day – 1 Thessolonians 5:16-18

1 Thessolonians 5:16-18
16 “Rejoice evermore.”

17 “Pray without ceasing.”

18 “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

We should always rejoice and honor our Father thanking Him through prayer. We can be thankful for having that spiritual connection with our Father, while we have obtained that there are many who are still lost in the world. We can pray that they too find the Light.

Bible Verse of the Day – James 5:16

Bible Verse of the Day

James 5:16
“Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

Sometimes we do things in life that we are not very proud of, sometimes even causing others a great deal of harm. However, we can become free of the bondage we placed ourselves in if we repent of our sins. If we have a true change of heart and then come to our Father through prayer and ask Him for forgiveness, our faults can be washed away because Christ was worthy. (Revelation 5:12).

Bible Verse of the Day – Philippians 4:6-7

Philippians 4:6-7
6 “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”

7 “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Be careful for nothing, meaning take thought of nothing. Many of us get so caught up with the troubles of life that we let them take over and consume us.

Bible Verse of the Day – 2 Chronicles 7:14

Bible Verse of the Day

2 Chronicles 7:14
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

God’s people who are called by whose name? The Lord Jesus Christ, we go by His name and we are called Christians.

Bible Verse of the Day – 1 John 5:14-15

1 John 5:14-15
14 “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:”

15 “And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”

The key phrase here is that we ask it to be our Father’s will, not our own. We can pray all we want for a new Corvette in our driveway, but that would not be God’s will… Let us ask ourselves, what is God’s will? That we spread the Gospel message throughout the earth (Mark 16:15). That all come to repentance though they will not (2 Peter 3:9). Our Father wants to save as many souls as possible so His will needs to become our will.
