Lebanese army tries to force gunmen from streets

Lebanese soldiers in armored vehicles fanned out across the country on Monday to break down civilian roadblocks and chase gunmen off the streets as tempers flared over the killing of a top intelligence official who was a powerful opponent of Syrian involvement in Lebanon.
Sectarian clashes killed at least six people. A seventh person was killed after soldiers returned fire following an attack on their patrol.
The killing of Brig. Gen. Wissam al-Hassan in a Beirut car bomb on Friday sparked days of tensions, accusations and violence in Lebanon between supporters of Syrian President Bashar Assad and his opponents. Al-Hassan was solidly in the latter group, and his supporters, many of them Sunni Muslims, blamed Damascus for the killing.
Many also called for the resignation of the Hezbollah-dominated government, saying it is too cozy with the Syrian regime.
In Washington, the State Department said it was worried about the violence in Lebanon and that the U.S. was sending an FBI team to help investigate the bombing.
“We’ve been clear for some time about the possible spillover effect from the conflict in Syria,” spokesman Mark Toner said Monday. – AP

Egyptians: We Want Nuclear Bombs and to Break Treaty with Israel

Most Egyptians want their country and Iran to have nuclear weapons, and they also favor renewing ties with Tehran and breaking off relations with Israel, according to a poll by The Israel Project, a pro-Israel advocacy group.
Eighty-seven percent of the respondents want Egypt to have its own nuclear bomb, and Iran is more than happy to lend Cairo a hand. “We are ready to help Egypt to build nuclear reactors and satellites,” Iran’s deputy defense minister said when Muslim Brotherhood Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi visited Iran last month.
Sixty-two percent of those polled agreed that “Iran and its president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, are friends of Egypt.”
The results of the poll belie an impression Muslim Brotherhood Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi has been trying to spread. He visited Iran several weeks ago but denied he is considering renewing ties with Iran, after more than three decades of a freeze following the Egyptian-Israeli peace treaty and the Islamic Revolution. – Israel National News
WEB Note: The swarming in the Middle East by radical Muslims is gaining steam. This has been developing over the past two years. Keep a close eye on these situations for they are biblical in nature…

The Final Debate

By: Brandon Ward

What can we say about the debate last night? In my opinion, it was shameful. We have just two choices to run this country for the next four years and neither is palatable. Neither party offered to remove the United States from war, from the role of World Police.

Instead, the only ideas we heard was how the United States should get more involved in Syria and Iran. I would like to ask you, the reader, where in the Constitution does it give such authority?

A Red Carpet for Radicals at the White House

A year-long investigation by the Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT) has found that scores of known radical Islamists made hundreds of visits to the Obama White House, meeting with top administration officials.
Court documents and other records have identified many of these visitors as belonging to groups serving as fronts for the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas and other Islamic militant organizations.
The IPT made the discovery combing through millions of White House visitor log entries. IPT compared the visitors’ names with lists of known radical Islamists. Among the visitors were officials representing groups which have: Been designated by the Department of Justice as unindicted co-conspirators in terrorist trials; Extolled Islamic terrorist groups including Hamas and Hizballah; Obstructed terrorist investigations by instructing their followers not to cooperate with law enforcement; Promoted the incendiary conspiratorial allegation that the United States is engaged in a “war against Islam”— a leading tool in recruiting Muslims to carry out acts of terror; Repeatedly claimed that many of the Islamic terrorists convicted since 9-11 were framed by the U.S government as part of an anti-Muslim profiling campaign.
Individuals from the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) visited the White House at least 20 times starting in 2009. In 2008, CAIR was listed as an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorist money laundering case in U.S. history – the trial of the Holy Land Foundation in which five HLF officials were convicted of funneling money to Hamas. – IPT News

Morsi mouths ‘Amen’ as Egyptian preacher urges ‘Allah, destroy the Jews’

Egypt’s President Mohammed Morsi participated in prayers over the weekend in which the preacher urged Allah to “destroy the Jews and their supporters.”
In footage of the service from Matrouh governorate’s el-Tenaim Mosque screened on Egyptian state television on Friday, Morsi was shown in fervent prayer as cleric Futouh Abd Al-Nabi Mansour, the local head of religious endowment, declared, “Oh Allah, absolve us of our sins, strengthen us, and grant us victory over the infidels. Oh Allah, destroy the Jews and their supporters. Oh Allah, disperse them, rend them asunder. Oh Allah, demonstrate Your might and greatness upon them. Show us Your omnipotence, oh Lord.” – The Times of Israel

University Bans Christian Group for Requiring Leaders to Adhere to ‘Basic Biblical Truths of Christianity’

Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts has banned a Christian group from campus because the group requires student leaders to adhere to “basic biblical truths of Christianity.” The decision to ban the group, called the Tufts Christian Fellowship, was made by officials from the university’s student government, specifically the Tufts Community Union Judiciary.
The ban means the group “will lose the right to use the Tufts name in its title or at any activities, schedule events or reserve university space through the Office for Campus Life,” according to the Tufts Daily. Additionally, Tufts Christian Fellowship will be unable to receive money from a pool that students are required to pay into and that is specifically set aside for student groups. – The Weekly Standard

War: Iran, Syria and North Korea

By: Brandon T. Ward

The rhetoric for war is once again on the rise. It’s always the answer to economic calamity so why should now be any different? What war am I speaking of? It’s no secret that Iran, Syria and North Korea have all been given the title “Axis of Evil” by George W. Bush. Just because presidents change doesn’t mean policies change. We are still on the same course with the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan (we have actually expanded the war by moving into Pakistan) and we still paint Iran, Syria and North Korea in the colors of the enemy.

The economy is in shambles and it’s being artificially inflated… Why, whatever do you mean Brandon?

I’m talking about the failed institutions that are being propped up by the bailouts. I’m talking about the crumbling housing sector that is being propped up by tax credits. I’m talking about the 32 states that don’t have enough money to pay for their own unemployed!

The Issue of “Illegal” Immigration… Part 2

By: Brandon T. Ward

The rage over Arizona’s new law on “illegal” immigration continues. A couple of weeks ago the city of Los Angeles, California passed a resolution boycotting Arizona in a move that could wipe out millions of dollars in contracts for Arizona. In reply to this attempted power play by Los Angeles, Arizona has threatened to turn off the power they provide to Los Angeles if they follow through with their attempted boycott.

The Issue of “Illegal” Immigration… Part 1

By: Brandon T. Ward

Let’s talk about immigration, or better yet “illegal” immigration. First let’s define the two.

Immigration: The process of entering the country by means of the legal system, following the laws that are in place.

Illegal” Immigration: Breaking the law, bypassing the legal system and entering the country without permission.

Come to the Father - Sunset over the Ocean

By: Brandon T. Ward

For many, it’s very difficult to seek out God, come to know Him and learn about His Word. Why is that? In today’s society we are distracted from the Bible. It’s not at the forefront of our minds and we often forget about God until we need Him in our lives… We have TVs in every room, computers, video games, iPhones, social networking to do and shows to watch. If you’re a parent, there are the kids to teach and support. In today’s world many families have two working parents which makes spending time with each other very difficult.
