A Simple Message - Cross at Cloudy Sunset

By: Brandon T. Ward

A friend of mine sent me a message the other night that was short and sweet. It was a very simple message, it contained only one thing, they were the pure Words of God. He received this message from another friend of his and he decided to share it with me. Now, I have decided to share it with all of you…

The message, “2 Timothy 2:3-4.” Which reads,

3 “Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.”

4 “No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.”

This is how the body of Christ works. We all work together to lift and build up each other. The Words of God are very powerful. The thoughtful concerns of one person with one simple message has reached several lives and now that message is with you. This is a very important scripture considering the times we are in and the days of darkness that are fast approaching. Endure as a good soldier in Jesus Christ and set aside the cares of this world, all of them. Focus on our Lord and Savior for that is the only thing that truly matters.

How can we be a good soldier for Christ you may ask? The answer is contained within Ephesians chapter 6. This is my expansion of the message I received. I will close now, leaving you with those Words of God. Just as the message I received were only those Words. Share these scriptures with your family and friends if you feel so led. Let us build up the body of Christ. In Jesus Name Amen.

Ephesians 6:10
10 “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.”

11 “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”

12 “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

13 “Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”

14 “Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;”

15 “And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;”

16 “Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.”

17 “And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:”

18 “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Great words of wisdom. Of course they are from God so they cannot be anything else but great words of wisdom.

God will provide and see you through the bad times that are approaching, IF you stay in His word. God said He will never leave or forsake you. Unfortunately it is possible for people to turn so far from God they lose their salvation, but that is the individuals doing, not Gods, He will not forsake you, but it is possible for you to forsake God. So stay in His word and learn his plan so he can use you to fulfill His plan.

Having said that I should add God will not suffer a fool, He expects you to do what you can, when you have done all you can and it is too much for you that is when God will step in and help. He will not do it for you but He will help when help is needed. You know bad times are approaching, be wise and prepare, get your house in order, get out of debt, stock up on food, have a plan, prepare yourself mentally and spiritually.

Even with God’s help it is not going to be a cake walk, it was hard for the prophets of old and it will be hard for you too. But count the hard times as a joy, you get to do something for God, there is nothing greater you can do with your life than to be there for God when He needs you.

Are you prepared? Have you learned what God’s plan is? Do you understand what it is God is going to need of you? Time is short, if you do not know you better get learnt real fast or you will not only be useless to God, you will end up worshiping Satan. I being one who loves God, would rather die than face Him after being fooled into worshipping Satan.

    • You are right, it will not be a cake walk even for those who love and follow every Word of His Law. Noah had to build the ark. Moses had to lead the children out of Egypt. God was there the whole time leading and directing but we have to do the work.
