The Temple of Baal Comes To The United States

The United States escalated their march down the road of perversion after the Supreme Court ruled in favor of homosexual marriage last year. Continuing that march, now a replica of the Temple of Baal is coming to New York this month all in honor of “World Heritage Week“.

Next month (April 2016), the Temple of Baal will come to Times Square. Reproductions of the 50-foot arch that formed the temple’s entrance are to be installed in New York and in London, a tribute to the 2,000-year-old structure that the Islamic State destroyed last year in the Syrian town of Palmyra. The group’s rampage through Palmyra, a city that reached its peak in the second and third century A.D., enraged the world, spurring scholars and conservationists into action. Numerous nongovernmental organizations are now cataloging and mapping damaged cultural heritage sites in the region. – NY Times

The Institute for Digital Archaeology is creating these abominations known as the Temple of Baal and they plan to install a 1,000 of these around the globe according to the NY Post. This institute was established from efforts by Harvard University, Oxford University in Great Britain and Dubai’s Museum of the Future.

Baal was an ancient heathen god who the Israelites worshiped in defiance of our Father.  Please turn your Bible with me to,

Jeremiah 19:5
They have built also the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings unto Baal, which I commanded not, nor spake it, neither came it into my mind.

Not only is Baal worship in defiance of our Father, but a part of that worship included offering their children as a burnt sacrifice to Baal who is none other than Satan essentially as all false gods link back to him. How sick and disgusting to think this vial temple is coming to our nation in “honor” of World Heritage week. Then again this nation destroys millions of their own children through abortion.

Judges 2:11, 13
11 And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord, and served Baalim.

13 And they forsook the Lord, and served Baal and Ashtaroth.

It should be abundantly clear to us Baal worship is against our Father and it goes all the way back to ancient Babylon. We have further documentation of this and other false gods in our study titled, “What Does The Bible Say About Easter?“.

I find it interesting the Temple of Baal is coming to the U.S. this month (April), a month when we celebrate Passover which is the Highest Holy Day in Christianity though few Christians even realize that fact. Instead we celebrate false holidays and replace Christ with bunnies and colored eggs. We welcome heathen gods and their temples to our country, but we reject Christ at every opportunity.

As Ecclesiastes 1:9 states, “There is no new thing under the sun”. Please turn your Bible with me to,

1 Kings 18:17
And it came to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said unto him, Art thou he that troubleth Israel?

Ahab really had some nerve, after all it was Ahab who was the king of Israel at this time that “did evil in the sight of the LORD above all that were before him,” (1 Kings 16:29-33).

1 Kings 18:18-19
18 And he answered, I have not troubled Israel; but thou, and thy father’s house, in that ye have forsaken the commandments of the LORD, and thou hast followed Baalim.

19 Now therefore send, and gather to me all Israel unto mount Carmel, and the prophets of Baal four hundred and fifty, and the prophets of the groves four hundred, which eat at Jezebel’s table.

Elijah was definitely outnumbered, but with our Father on our side, we always have the victory (1 Corinthians 15:57).

1 Kings 18:20-21
20 So Ahab sent unto all the children of Israel, and gathered the prophets together unto mount Carmel.

21 And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.

This is our choice today as it was then and in The World That Was. We either follow our Father or we are following Satan. There is no middle ground.

1 Kings 18:22
Then said Elijah unto the people, I, even I only, remain a prophet of the LORD; but Baal’s prophets are four hundred and fifty men.

Elijah was making a grand stand for our Father though he was outnumbered by flesh men. I want everyone to think of the courage it must have taken to accomplish this. Just as we see with the Temple of Baal coming to the U.S. there will be many who will embrace it and very few who will stand against it. While Elijah was the only one standing for God we know our Father had seven thousand in the land of Israel that did not bow before the false god of Baal (1 Kings 19:18, Note: 7,000 in the land of Israel, not throughout the world).

1 Kings 18:23
Let them therefore give us two bullocks; and let them choose one bullock for themselves, and cut it in pieces, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under: and I will dress the other bullock, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under.

What we have here is a contest essentially to see who’s god would provide…

1 Kings 18:24
And call ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the LORD: and the God that answereth by fire, let him be God. And all the people answered and said, It is well spoken.

What a bunch of fools. After all the miracles and wonders that were handed down from generation to generation the people still worshiped false gods and even sacrificed their own children for them. Talk about heathen, these people are the very definition of it.

1 Kings 18:25
And Elijah said unto the prophets of Baal, Choose you one bullock for yourselves, and dress it first; for ye are many; and call on the name of your gods, but put no fire under.

Elijah is giving them first pick and told them to call on the name of their gods, plural not just Baal, but instead telling them to use them all. Do you think any of their gods will answer? Of course not. Their gods are sticks and stones “which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell,” (Deuteronomy 4:28-31).

1 Kings 18:26
And they took the bullock which was given them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon, saying, O Baal, hear us. But there was no voice, nor any that answered. And they leaped upon the altar which was made.

The people of today are not so different. They lay aside our Father and embrace wickedness. The Temple of Baal coming to the United States is a prime example. This nation was built by Christian men and woman, this nation has seen the biggest blessings in the history of the earth yet they have thrown it away and instead embrace lies and deception.

1 Kings 18:27
And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked.

Elijah is having a little bit of fun with them at this point and can you blame him? While they cry out to none existent gods our Father hears our voices and prayers and even bottles them (Psalms 116:1-2, Revelation 5:8).

1 Kings 18:28
And they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner with knives and lancets, till the blood gushed out upon them.

They offered their own blood just to hear their god’s voice , yet our God offered His Blood so we could live.

1 Kings 18:29
And it came to pass, when midday was past, and they prophesied until the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that there was neither voice, nor any to answer, nor any that regarded.

Their gods failed them, yet our God “will not fail thee, nor forsake thee,” (Deuteronomy 31:6).

1 Kings 18:30
And Elijah said unto all the people, Come near unto me. And all the people came near unto him. And he repaired the altar of the LORD that was broken down.

The altar they previously destroyed.

1 Kings 18:31
And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, unto whom the word of the LORD came, saying, Israel shall be thy name.

God’s Word and the actions that involve Him are always done in an orderly fashion.

1 Kings 18:32
And with the stones he built an altar in the name of the LORD: and he made a trench about the altar, as great as would contain two measures of seed.

I want you to stop, think and try to grasp the situation here. Everyone has rejected our Father and wickedness is reigning supreme. Elijah is standing by himself for the Lord. Hundreds of people surround him at this time. Their gods have failed them and Elijah is setting out to prove to them our God is real. He stacks these stones one by one to rebuild the altar of the Lord not to build a name for himself, but to prove to the people Jehovah (Yehôvâh) is our God and He reigns!

1 Kings 18:33
And he put the wood in order, and cut the bullock in pieces, and laid him on the wood, and said, Fill four barrels with water, and pour it on the burnt sacrifice, and on the wood.

While the Baal worshipers no doubt used the driest wood they could find we have Elijah pouring water on the altar and on the wood, four barrels no less and he will repeat this three times.

1 Kings 18:34-37
34 And he said, Do it the second time. And they did it the second time. And he said, Do it the third time. And they did it the third time.

35 And the water ran round about the altar; and he filled the trench also with water.

36 And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word.

37 Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the LORD God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again.

Elijah did this in order to document to the people the God we serve is the Living God who has stated, “there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand. For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever,” (Deuteronomy 32:39-40).

1 Kings 18:38
Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.

Not only did the water-logged wood ignite, the fire was so hot it consumed the stones, dirt, and the water that was in the trench. This was a miraculous event brought about by our Father.

1 Kings 18:39
And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The LORD, he is the God; the LORD, he is the God.

It always amazes me how it takes such miracles for the people to believe in God and recognize Him, yet it takes nothing to believe in a false god. That in itself documents to me how easily people can be led astray by Satan.

1 Kings 18:40
And Elijah said unto them, Take the prophets of Baal; let not one of them escape. And they took them: and Elijah brought them down to the brook Kishon, and slew them there.

When you fail to follow our Father there will always be a price to pay. Our Father will not be mocked (Galatians 6:7). While the “great leaders” of our time continue to remove God from our nations, they cannot remove Him from our hearts.

As we move further down the road of these end times we will continue to see more and more of these abominable acts. It is at these times we need to diligently seek our Father’s Word and truly understand “there is no new thing under the sun“. Simply meaning we have an answer and most likely a type in the Bible if we only seek it out (Ecclesiastes 1:9).

Remember, “all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come,” (1 Corinthians 10:11). As we continue to see these abominable acts take place “then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh,” (Luke 21:28).

I pray this study has provided you with some understanding and historical context of the false god Baal.
