Bible Question and Answer

Welcome to our bi-weekly post Bible Question and Answer where we provide Bible verses, answers and advice to the questions and concerns you have. During the course of the last two weeks readers have submitted their questions and today we are going to answer one of them. So please join us and feel free to chime in on the discussion in the comments section below this post.

Before we get into this week’s questions we would like to point out that you are helping to spread the Word of God by your continued submission of questions. Due to your ongoing participation, these Bible Q&A posts have been read thousands of times. Without your participation, this section of our site would not exist.

If you have a Biblical or non-Biblical question you would like to ask, submit it now for our next edition of “Bible Question and Answer“.

Bible Question and Answer

Question 1:

Name: Dave
Question: Hey Brandon,

I am trying to get a better understanding of when the Battle of Gog & Magog (as described in Ezekiel 38 & 39) takes place. I have heard that it takes place at the end of the Millenium; but how can that be if we are in spiritual bodies while simultaneously the Magog army is ‘devoured’ as described in Ezekiel 39:4? I thought only flesh bodies could be devoured?

Is it possible that this event takes place during the tribulation, and is what causes the ‘deadly wound’ to the political beast system (as described in Revelation 13:3)? Or does it transpire just before the beast system rises?

Name: Brandon T. Ward
Answer: Thank you for the question Dave and fantastic job applying good ol common sense. Our flesh body is “sown in corruption,” meaning our flesh bodies eventually will perish. Yet our spiritual body is raised up after death incorruptible, though our soul itself is still corruptible (1 Corinthians 15:42). Paul does a good job explaining the two bodies (flesh and spiritual) in 1 Corinthians 15:35-55. Always remember, only our Father can destroy our spiritual body and soul (Matthew 10:28).

To answer your question, the Battle of Gog and Magog will occur at the very end of the Tribulation. If you have been reading our Bible study, “The Timeline of the Tribulation” we will cover this topic in Chapter 9.

The Deadly Wound marks the moment in time when Satan makes his appearance on earth claiming to be God. This also marks the beginning of the Tribulation to provide you with a time element. We also have a study on the Deadly Wound, it can be found in Chapter 4 of “The Timeline of the Tribulation“.

In closing, we have three other Bible Q&As about the Battle of Gog and Magog that I believe you will find helpful. You will find them below. Thank you.

Question 2:

Name: Dorothy
Question: Does God forbid man from leaving earth and travel in space, even temporarily?

Name: Brandon T. Ward
Answer: Dorothy, thank you for the question.

Our Father was certainly wise enough to know man would have the ability to travel into space, but there is nothing written in the scriptures about it. Turn your Bible with me to,

Genesis 11:6

6 “And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.”

Nothing will be restrained from them which they have imagined to do“. These are the words of our Father. He made man very intelligent, though we make very bad mistakes. The point is, God provided us the intelligence to accomplish whatever it is we wish to do. Look at today, you are at some point in the world and I am in another and not only are we communicating, but many other people are also reading our communication which is archived for someone to find at a later point in history. Fantastic!

Dorothy, since you mentioned space and aircraft. You may find these previous Bible Q&As interesting:

Question 4:

Name: Tereasa
Question: How will a lot of people be in the 1000 year reign if most people on earth takes the mark?

Name: Brandon T. Ward
Answer: Thank you for the question Tereasa. Do not forget the Millennium which is the One Thousand Year reign of Jesus Christ is not just for those who will live through the Tribulation of Satan. That time period will be for everyone who has ever walked the earth. To provide them with an opportunity with everlasting life if they so choose.

Many people have never had a real opportunity to hear the  true Word of God. Some have heard men twist the Bible and some have never heard it at all. For those that make a stand for God during the Tribulation they will become “priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years,” (Revelation 20:6).

I do want you to note, the final Judgement which is called the White Throne Judgement does not take place until after the Millennium (Revelation 20:11-15). At that point in time, the good and bad will be Judged by God. Some to death which is permanent, in a moment they will be literally wiped from existence even from our minds. While those who are left will inherit eternal life without pain and suffering (Revelation 21:4). Eternal life in our Father’s Paradise of Peace.

We would like to thank our Father for giving us this platform in order to spread His most precious Word. We would also like to thank our readers for submitting their questions and giving us the opportunity to share them with the audience.
