Bible Verse of the Day

Matthew 5:14,16

“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

God is light” and His “word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path,(1 John 1:5, Psalms 119:105).

As a Christian we are to share that light, to be a reflection of it so others will see and come to that light hoping to find a light for their paths. We are to help the world find that light, so they can find the narrow path that leads to life.

They left out verse 15 which is very important.

Matthew 5:15
15 “Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.”

Never hide your light, never hide that truth, but share it with those who will listen. Then will men see your good works and know it is our Father who is in those works.

As the days grow darker more and more people need that light (and oil) as their candles and lamps are being extinguished. Remember, the Oil of the Ten Virgins… Ensure your lamp has enough oil so you can navigate the narrow path and enter through the narrow gate. Without that light you will not be able to follow the path…
