“For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”
As we walk in this world, we are to live in Christ and under Christ. That simply means to follow the instructions in the Bible. So we strive to be Christ like.
Christ was perfect, remember that and remember ALL of the actions He took. We certainly cannot be perfect, but we can do our best and repent when we fall short. While Christ is love and in love died for us, there were times when He had to exert authority by being bold before the enemy. He even physically assaulted those who disrespected our Father’s House (John 2:15).
You want to remember that in your Christian walk. Do not be a Christian who is too kind to state your mind or elevate your voice. Be Christ like in all ways and always keep a level head.
When we die, it is to gain in the sense that we depart this world of flesh and inherit our true bodies which is our spiritual bodies that never get sick, old or die. In addition to being in Heaven with our Father once again (Ecclesiastes 12:6).
Now that is certainly a gain and something worth looking forward too.
