2 Corinthians 13:14
“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.”
Note verse 11, “Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.”
You cannot be double minded, you have to have a firm and sound belief in the Bible, one mind (James 1:8). You must rightly divide the Word of Truth. If your belief does not line up with the rest of scripture, then you have made an error.
We all make mistakes, but it is up to each one of us to ensure not only that we believe as the Bible teaches, but to ensure we teach only truth from His Word to others.
Back to this 14th verse.
What is grace? If we look up this word in the Strong’s Concordance it means, “favour“. Merriam-Webster tells us “grace” means, “unmerited divine assistance given humans for their regeneration or sanctification“.
“Grace” is a “favour“, it is a gift from God to us and it took our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ sacrificing Himself on the cross to enable this “favour“, this “grace“.
Romans 6:23 tells us, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Eternal Life is a gift, it is that “grace” that we have been discussing and when we believe on Jesus Christ, we obtain it (Romans 10:9).
