Mattel Releases First Barbie Wearing A Hijab

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

WEB Notes: We tear down iconic national monuments in our nation because the people are Caucasian. We murder babies because it is a woman’s right. But hey, it is quite all right to create dolls of another religion one in which features the covering and hiding of woman’s features. Go figure. They have every right to create it and you have every right not to buy it.

Olympic fencer Ibtihaj Muhammad is quite a doll – literally. She’s thrilled to have inspired a Barbie in her likeness, and especially proud that the doll will be the first Barbie to wear a hijab. “This is a childhood dream come true,” she posted. The doll is part of the “She-ro” line.

“We are so excited to honor Ibtihaj Muhammad with a one-of-a-kind Barbie doll!” Mattel posted. “Ibtihaj continues to inspire women and girls everywhere to break boundaries.”

  1. Well now isn’t that special. A special kind of ridiculous! I’m struggling to be open minded but just can’t.

    • They always pander to everything non-Christian while telling us the Christian way is wrong or offensive. That certainly is “special” Kaye. If we do not buy them, they will not make them. Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
