“And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.”
As we have explained many times before, our Father’s Word is full of symbolism. We are not talking about literal bread and liquid to drink. I guarantee you, if you do not eat or drink you will get hungry and then you will die without that food and drink. Instead of literal food and drink we are talking about spiritual food and drink.
Turn your Bible with me to,
11 “Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:”
I feel we are living through that spiritual famine even today. How many places are there in the world where you can go to hear the truth of our Father’s Word taught? Some places might give you a verse or two a week, some may even give you more and then they completely twist the scriptures. That is all a part of this spiritual famine in these end times.
Christ was simply saying, if you come to Him and accept Him as the Savior you will spiritually never hunger and thirst.
He is “the bread of life,” He is the “water of life” and “whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.” (John 4:14, Revelation 21:6, 22:1).
