Happy New Year from World Events and the Bible!
We will publish our 2017 year in review article tomorrow, January 1st 2018.
Early in 2017 we set the tone for the new year by publishing an article titled, “Be Renewed In The Spirit Of Your Mind”. In that article we encouraged everyone to renew themselves spiritually for another year and try new things.
How did you do?
If you are a new reader, I would encourage you to read that article and apply it to you and your family for the new year ahead of us. For those who did read it, read it over again for a re-fresher and try building onto what worked for you in 2017.
To add to the message in that article and for the coming new year I would like for us to think about “love“. Deuteronomy 11:13-28 tells us is we “love the LORD your God, and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul” that you and your household will be extremely blessed. While our nation and world may become more polluted with perversion, you should ensure you keep your household in order. Ensure you share love and our Father’s Word with your family.
Why is love so important?
If we display love, if we are kind and helpful to our family, friends and those around us we are adhering to Christ’s Words,
34 “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.”
35 “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
It is impossible for us to be a reflection of Christ if we do not have love in our hearts. Let everything you do be led by our Father and be done with love in mind as this will be reflected toward everyone you encounter (1 Corinthians 16:14).
Love “is the bond of perfectness” and love “shall cover the multitude of sins” (Colossians 3:14, 1 Peter 4:8).
Keep love at the forefront of your mind for the new year.
2017 was another great year of growth for World Events and the Bible. We thank our Father and you for that!
