WEB Notes: Yesterday while driving home I saw three young girls walking down the street. They might have been 14-15 years old drinking down some soda’s. School is just down the way. When I saw how they were dressed, let’s say lack of clothing… I thought of my own daughter and said, nope, not going to happen…
Every father says that, the difference is in how you raise your children. What is considered acceptable in your household. That is where the difference comes in.
Is our Heavenly Father championed in your home?
Is He the standard?
If not, your standard is the world, and today’s “standard” says very young girls can dress like grown woman. Enjoy your childhood, do not rush life along. It goes by fast enough.
Remember, what scripture tells us,
1 John 2:15
15 “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”
We do not belong in the world, from a spiritual perspective. We belong in Christ and that is where our mind should be focused, (John 15:19).
Men, teach your daughters to be decent woman and to follow Christ and they will grow up to be so. If you fill their head, or allow them to fill their head with whatever the TV and internet tells them… They will turn into something you never wanted.
I have talked to so many parents who tell me how their kids went off into left field on them.
Now why do you think that is?
They had no moral compass my friends. They did not have a firm foundation in Christ. This is turning into a post rather than a note so let me conclude with,
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” – Romans 12:2
This week, Walmart announced its stores would no longer feature Cosmopolitan magazine in checkout lines, instead relegating its 40 gazillion ways to please your man and cutesy writeups of masturbation gear to more discreet locations. “While this was primarily a business decision,” the company said in a statement, it also considered complaints from anti-porn groups and moms everywhere.
Cosmopolitan “places women’s value primarily on their ability to sexually satisfy a man and therefore plays into the same culture where men view and treat women as inanimate sex objects,” responded the National Center on Sexual Exploitation, an advocacy group that has pushed stores to stop selling the magazine. “Further, Cosmo targets young girls by placing former Disney stars on its covers, despite the enclosed sexually erotic articles which describe risky sexual acts like public, intoxicated, or anal sex in detail. Customers should not be forced to be exposed to this content when they are trying to check-out at the store.”
