WEB Notes: You should know by now these corporations are not on your side. Just because they sell firearms does not make them pro-second amendment. It means they are pro-profit, you got it?…

You remember when the Supreme Court said homosexual marriage was okay

What did a large number or corporations do?

They changed their logos to a rainbow of six colors on their social media profiles and tweeted and posted their glee for the abominable act of the Supreme Court.

So you remember whose side they are on.

Not our Father’s.

DICK’S Sporting Goods announced Wednesday that it, too, would no longer sell guns to persons younger than 21 and would no longer sell “high capacity” magazines or “assault rifles.” This announcement marked the second time DICK’S had quit selling “assault rifles.”

Walmart released a statement on its policy shift. USA Today published an excerpt from it, which said, “In light of recent events, we’ve taken an opportunity to review our policy on firearm sales. Going forward, we are raising the age restriction for purchase of firearms and ammunition to 21 years of age.”

The New York Times reports that Walmart will also end sales of Airsoft guns that resemble an “assault rifle” and they are also ridding shelves of toy rifles that resembles AR-15s or AK-47s.

  1. Toys should not even remotely look like real firearms. Kids should be taught to respect the real thing and use them appropriately and safely. That’s one thing you don’t want to try and figure out when you’re making split second decisions, is it real or is it just a toy? Make the toys bright colors and put stickers all over them. Don’t make real ones pink no matter how cool they are. Common sense.

    • CT you are going to have some ladies upset with you. ? They like the pink camo.

I am with you on toy guns. I always thought it was a bad idea, a gun is not a toy. I know a lot of people think it is harmless, but it is bad practice and example.

True story. When I was 5 we were at a neighbors house and us kids were playing cowboys and indians. I had a knife I got from the neighbor and one of the other kids had a gun. Turned out both were real. No one got hurt, but think of what could have happened. We just thought they were “toys”.

That is why safety and education is so important.

      • The pink camo firearms are admittedly cool, they’re just an incredibly bad idea because of the confusion they can cause with a lethal product. Safety first.

  2. And these words be spoken by the almighty Walmart! O’le Sam Walton must be turning in his grave! And we let government and monopolistic corporate entities rule the world! ??

    • You ever seen the movie Roller Ball? I am talking about the one from the 70s? In that movie, the corporations ran the world. Kind of interesting considering what we have today.

      • Sure did! I believe James Caan was one of the main actors! Yes! How ironic. Then again, there appear to be a handful of movies in past history that reflect the woe’s of today! And the Word says, nothing is new Under the Sun. What was, is, and will be, again! And so it is.

All in Him have a blessed day!?
