Hoard Of Bronze Coins From ‘Great Revolt’ Unearthed In Jerusalem

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

WEB Notes: There is plenty of documentation that the ancient nation of Israel was once where modern Israel is located for those who doubt. This article goes on to reference the, “Jews” as the inhabitants of this region. Now let me ask you, what is a “Jew”?…

Well Brandon, it’s a chosen vessel of God.

“Jew” is a term that has been created to refer to the tribe of Judah. Unfortunately, many people throw all of the Twelve Tribes into that group and call the tribes “Jews”.

For one that is not Biblically accurate, not in the least and it really confuses ones mind when they are trying to understand the Bible and Biblical history.

I have included a map below so you can understand where each of the Twelve Tribes were located within the ancient nation of Israel. I also want you to remember, during the end times, 12,000 from each one of those Twelve Tribes are sealed with our Father’s Word and they will stand against the false messiah, (Revelation 7).

Do not take that away from the Biblical family, they are Israelites, not Jews and they are located across the entire globe.

The 1.5-cm (0.6 inch) bronze coins are well preserved, probably because they were in use for a short time.

“The coins were left behind by Jewish residents who hid in a large cave for four years (66-70 CE) — from the Roman siege of Jerusalem, up until the destruction of the Second Temple and the city of Jerusalem,” explained Hebrew University archaeologist Dr. Eilat Mazar.

“While several of the coins date to the early years of the revolt, the great majority are from its final year, otherwise known as, ‘Year Four’ (69-70 CE).”
