Can All People Stand For God During The Tribulation?

Name: Jessica
Question: My question is if someone is biracial (Hispanic and white) or even multiracial can you still make a stand for God during the tribulation? Could someone be considered a king or queen of the ethnos with an interracial background? I’m not sure if there is any scripture pertaining to this situation. I have a much better understanding of Deuteronomy 23:2 now, but this question still sits heavy on my heart. Thank you so much for your time and help with this question.

Answer:  Thank you for the question Jessica.

All Of God’s Children Can Stand

Absolutely, and Revelation 7:9 documents that for us.

Revelation 7:9
After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands.

After what?

After the Tribulation of Satan, John saw “a great multitude which no man could number” of all races stand before the Throne of God and the Lamb. This great multitude consists of people throughout history, including those who will make a stand for God during the Tribulation.

In the prior verses, we are specifically told there are 144,000 from the 12 Tribes of Israel who are Sealed with our Father’s Word, (Revelation 7:4-8). We should understand the Bible is primarily about Adam, his family, and the people they encountered, so we are not given specific information about the other people of the earth.

Nevertheless, it seems apparent to me, non-Israelites will stand for God during the Tribulation along with the 144,000 from the 12 Tribes of Israel, (see: Who Are The Gentiles?). This does not mean everyone is going to stand before Satan, not even the 144,000. There simply would not be enough time for that to happen, the testimony of the Saints and the Two Witnesses will be before councils, kings, and rulers in addition to Satan while some will make a stand in other fashions, (Mark 13:9).

On another level, if you understand The World That Was, then you know we existed at that time in our spiritual bodies, which are our true bodies that never get sick, old or die.

The point is, God created us how He wanted us at that time, If it was not for The Fall Of Satan, we would still have that appearance, and I believe God will return us to that semblance once again.

Understanding The Word “Bastard”

I know you said you understand Deuteronomy 23:2, but I would like for us to cover it together.

Please turn your Bible with me to,

Deuteronomy 23:2
A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD.

This word “bastard” means,

From an unused root mian. to alienate; a mongrel, that is, born of a Jewish father and a heathen mother: – bastard.

Now in the days of Deuteronomy, everyone outside of the Israelites were “heathen” people. In fact, “heathen” can mean “Gentile” and “pagan” which is a worshipper of false gods. We are going to find out shortly, that was God’s concern. The Israelites becoming like the nations around them and accepting false god’s into their belief system.

So a child born to an Israelite and a “heathen” pagan worshipping mother would certainly have been unable to “enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his tenth generation”. The Bible makes no declaration as to if there was a “heathen” father.

God’s concern was heathen practices would be passed down to each succeeding generation which would certainly infiltrate the church. That was God’s entire point in 1 Kings 11:2, “for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods” which we will cover shortly.

In Deuteronomy, God wanted to ensure all heathen practices were removed before one could enter into His Congregation, and it takes generations in some cases for that to become a reality. People have a way of holding onto their customs and culture from one generation to the next. God did not want any of that in His House.

The Israelites had a tough enough time trying to accomplish this on their own as they always fell astray.

Further, since the days of Christ, Salvation has been made available to everyone. Therefore, if a “gentile” accepts Jesus Christ, are they still “heathen”?

Obviously not, which the Bible will prove before we complete this study.

Why Was Israel To Remain Separate From The Nations?

Please turn your Bible with me to,

1 Kings 11:2
Of the nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love.

God told the Israelites, the Twelve Tribes, including the Tribe of Judah not to mix with the sons and daughters of the other nations for what reason?

For surely they will turn away your heart after their gods.

Our Father was concerned with His People turning away from Him and accepting the false god’s of the “heathen” people, and they certainly did.

God does not damn or place individuals to a lower degree based on the color of their skin or their ethnicity. God Judges by the actions of the soul (individual) and He places the soul into each individual.

Our Father has told us, “there is one kind of flesh of men”, (1 Corinthians 15:39). We are all one kind, humankind, though we all have different outward appearances. We also know our Father is “not a respecter of persons”, (Romans 2:11).

The point here Jessica,

“…the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart“.

1 Samuel 16:7

We Are One Family Through Christ

Please turn your Bible with me to,

Galatians 3:26-28
26 “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.”

27 “For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.”

28There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.”

Christ breaks down any barriers we may think exist, and when we believe in Him, we become grafted into that olive tree, we become grafted into Christ who is the Tree of Life,.

Galatians 3:29
“And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.”

Ephesians 2:19
“Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;”

Remember what we learned in Deuteronomy 23:2, about the “congregation of the LORD”?

Congregation” means, God’s “assembly”, God’s Household.

Ephesians is documenting for us everything we stated in this Bible QA. Those who accept Jesus Christ, no matter what race they are, bi-racial or not, dwell in the very “household of God”.

No longer are they “strangers and foreigners” which means “gentiles”.

They become “fellowcitizens” of the Saints, and are “of the household of God”, they become His very own Family.

They are those we learned about in the first verse of this study, they are those who stand around the very Throne of God, (Revelation 7:9).

Amen.
