Was Queen Elizabeth II A Descendant Of King David?

Name: Jack
Question: Hi Brandon: My question concerns the Royal House of Britain and your opinion about whether Queen Elizabeth II represents the seed of David. Also, any comments you may have about Ezekiel 21:27 relating to the second Advent.

Answer: Thank you for the question Jack.

You know, the Queen never made any admission that she was related to the Biblical King David, (12 Tribes of Israel), so I do not think we will ever know for sure.

I would like to point out, this idea was first introduced in 1861 by Rev. F. R A. Glover in his book, “England, The Remnant Of Judah, And The Israel Of Ephraim”.

Now concerning Ezekiel 21:27. Some Christians believe once Queen Elizabeth passes the throne on to the next in her line, that event will usher in the Return of Jesus Christ. This is tied to the Stone of Scone or Stone of Destiny.

Is that what Scripture reveals though?

Ezekiel 21:27: I Will Overturn, Overturn, Overturn

Please turn your Bible with me to,

Ezekiel 21:27
I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no more, until he come whose right it is; and I will give it him.

Whose right was it to take the throne?

The Messiah, Jesus Christ who came after this prophecy at the first Advent.

So my question in return would be, how do we know this has not already occurred?

The Sceptre Shall Not Depart From Judah

Genesis 49:10
The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

If the scepter remained with the tribe of Judah to our present-day, it would be very difficult to understand who could have fulfilled this.

Why?

This was a conditional promise as we will explain in a moment.

Yet, what did the Scripture say?

It said, ‘the scepter would not depart from Judah until Shiloh come.’

This word “Shiloh” is referencing the Messiah. When Christ came at the first Advent, His Kingdom became a reality.

The Kingdom Of God Is At Hand

Please turn your Bible with me to,

Mark 1:15
And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

It would seem that it is possible the sceptre was passed here.

Let’s now look at this from another angle. We need to remember, when God makes a promise in the Bible, it is usually a conditional promise. Meaning, there is that big two-letter word “IF”.

God Made A Conditional Promise

Please turn your Bible with me to,

1 Kings 9:2-3
2 That the LORD appeared to Solomon the second time, as he had appeared unto him at Gibeon.

3 And the LORD said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.

Pay close attention now.

1 Kings 9:4
And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments.

Notice the “IF”, meaning this is a conditional promise.

Man has to fulfill their part in order to claim the promise from God.

1 Kings 9:5
Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.

We know from Scripture, Solomon brought false gods into his kingdom, and so did the kings who followed after him. So right here we see this promise being broken, not by God, but by man.

1 Kings 9:6
But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them.

Who did this apply too?

Solomon and his children.

1 Kings 9:7
Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people.

So there we have the conditional promise from the mouth of our Father.

Looking at the world today, it is impossible to find a nation whose leader has lived by God’s Law, and upheld this promise from Him.
