2020: Murder Rate Rose By 37% In U.S.

2020 is a year we all rather forget, but simply cannot. It was a year that saw murder rise in the United States by 37%. We can thank the states who released prisoners early, and of course, the manufactured COVID-19 pandemic for these statistics.

Murders have skyrocketed this year, as local governments have become softer on crime. In the 57 major cities for which data are available, the murder rate is up an average of 36.7%. Murder went up in 51 cities, and down in only six cities. Murder is up 74.1% in Seattle, 72.3% in Minneapolis, 55.5% in Chicago, 54.1% in Boston, 39.2% in New York, 34.5% in St. Louis, and 30.4% in Los Angeles.

It was not just in liberal cities, but in conservative cities as well.

Fox News adds,

Gun assault and aggravated assault rates climbed 8% and 6%… The rates of homicides, motor vehicle thefts, gun assaults and aggravated assaults rose year-over-year…

Some of this data comes from the National Commission of COVID-19 and Criminal Justice (NCCCJ) which concludes the crime increase of 2020 consisted of,

A large and troubling increase that has no modern precedent.

We know this was due to the lockdowns surrounding COVID-19. We know this is tied to the states who released prisoners due to COVID-19.

  • Why is this not national headline news?
  • Why is this not the main point of discussion right now?

Instead of discussing the things that matter, the things that are real. We discuss a virus that in reality, has had very little impact on our world. Only the news and governments would like us to believe otherwise.

It seems we have reached a point of no return. 2021 will eclipse 2020 in all aspects, as we said last year. Finance will become a major concern in 2021.
