CDC, WHO And Scientific Journals Admit Face Masks Are Not Effective, Maybe Harmful

The Center for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), and other Scientific Journals have said over and over, face masks are not effective against the transmission of viruses.

We talked about some of this in the past, but in this article, we are going to dive right in and provide you with numerous links to the source of this information.

Center For Disease Control

The following are quotes taken directly from the CDC’s “Nonpharmaceutical Measures for Pandemic Influenza in Nonhealthcare Settings—Personal Protective and Environmental Measures” document. This study is dated May 2020 no less.

Although mechanistic studies support the potential effect of hand hygiene or face masks, evidence from 14 randomized controlled trials of these measures did not support a substantial effect on transmission of laboratory-confirmed influenza.

If anyone is going to promote the wearing of face masks, it would be the CDC. However, they are not promoting it here and even saying it has no substantial positive effect.

Let’s read another quote from this study.

We did not find evidence that surgical-type face masks are effective in reducing laboratory-confirmed influenza transmission, either when worn by infected persons (source control) or by persons in the general community to reduce their susceptibility.

Surgical face masks are not effective in reducing the spread of viruses. Remember, they are talking about surgical masks, not the worthless cloth masks people are wearing.

In reality, we are being told to do something that is not helpful, but potentially harmful to our health by breathing our spent air over and over again.

World Health Organization

The following quotes come from the World Health Organization (WHO), in a document titled, “Advice on the use of masks in the context of COVID-19“.

Studies of influenza, influenza-like illness, and human coronaviruses provide evidence that the use of a medical mask can prevent the spread of infectious droplets from an infected person to someone else and potential contamination of the environment by these droplets.

The WHO claims a “medical mask”, that would be the blue-colored masks with pleats can help prevent the spread if worn by someone who is infected. Not everyone, but only those infected.

Let’s keep reading.

There is limited evidence that wearing a medical mask by healthy individuals in the households or among contacts of a sick patient, or among attendees of mass gatherings may be beneficial as a preventive measure.

The WHO admits, there is limited evidence, which means there is next to no evidence to support the idea of healthy people wearings masks inside their own homes. This measure would be done to keep them from getting sick, if someone else were sick inside the same household.

The WHO continues.

However, there is currently no evidence that wearing a mask (whether medical or other types) by healthy persons in the wider community setting, including universal community masking, can prevent them from infection with respiratory viruses, including COVID-19.

There you have it.

There is absolutely no evidence to support the idea of public mask-wearing. That would be wearing a mask while out in the public, shopping, etc. This comes right from the World Health Organization.

Medical masks should be reserved for health care workers.

Obviously, as that is the designed purpose of medical masks. To keep a wound clean during a patient procedure as an example. They were never intended or designed to be worn by the public in public spaces to protect against a virus.

One more quote from the WHO.

The use of medical masks in the community may create a false sense of security, with neglect of other essential measures, such as hand hygiene practices and physical distancing, and may lead to touching the face under the masks and under the eyes, result in unnecessary costs, and take masks away from those in health care who need them most, especially when masks are in short supply.

Wearing a mask has created a false sense of security. Remember, they are talking about medical-grade masks which nearly no one is wearing, and even those masks do nothing to stop the spread of COVID-19.

People are running around wearing cloth masks as the morons in the mainstream media and our government have told the people to do it, even our President.

In reality, we should not wear a mask, and we should inform our fellow countrymen about facts like these. If we continue down the road of ignorance, we will find ourselves enslaved.

Science Daily

The following quote comes from Science Daily’s study, “Cloth masks: Dangerous to your health?

The widespread use of cloth masks by healthcare workers may actually put them at increased risk of respiratory illness and viral infections and their global use should be discouraged.

Plain as day, widespread use of cloth masks like we are seeing promoted each and every day is actually increasing our risk of respiratory illness and viral infections.

For the record, COVID-19 is a virus.

These practices should be discouraged and stopped immediately.

The BMJ

The following quotes come from the BMJ scientific study titled, “Face masks for the public during the covid-19 crisis“. They make many great points, here are the ones we have not covered yet.

Wearing a face mask makes the exhaled air go into the eyes. This generates an uncomfortable feeling and an impulse to touch your eyes. If your hands are contaminated, you are infecting yourself.

That seems like common sense to me. Most people I see place their face mask below their neck when they are not wearing it. Then they touch it to pull it up. If a virus were present on the mask, it would now be on your hands where it can be spread to other places.

Face masks make breathing more difficult. For people with COPD, face masks are in fact intolerable to wear as they worsen their breathlessness. Moreover, a fraction of carbon dioxide previously exhaled is inhaled at each respiratory cycle. Those two phenomena increase breathing frequency and deepness, and hence they increase the amount of inhaled and exhaled air. This may worsen the burden of covid-19 if infected people wearing masks spread more contaminated air. This may also worsen the clinical condition of infected people if the enhanced breathing pushes the viral load down into their lungs.

The New England Journal Of Medicine

This next quote comes from a report by the NEJM titled, Universal Masking in Hospitals in the Covid-19 Era.

We know that wearing a mask outside health care facilities offers little, if any, protection from infection. Public health authorities define a significant exposure to Covid-19 as face-to-face contact within 6 feet with a patient with symptomatic Covid-19 that is sustained for at least a few minutes (and some say more than 10 minutes or even 30 minutes). The chance of catching Covid-19 from a passing interaction in a public space is therefore minimal. In many cases, the desire for widespread masking is a reflexive reaction to anxiety over the pandemic.

Summary

Four professional medical studies, two conduced by the CDC and WHO explain in their own words, wearing a face mask will not stop the spread of COVID-19, or any other virus for that matter.

Instead, wearing a face mask may actually be harmful to your health and contribute to the spread of viruses we are trying to protect ourselves against.
