This headline was taken from data produced by a USC-LA County study on Coronavirus. We have been explaining, over and over again the Coronavirus has been blown out of proportion, and this is yet more documentation from another government source.
We will explain the data in a moment, but we need to cover some recent history.
You recall our article Coronavirus Kill Rate Will Surprise You. In that article, we documented from official sources the death rate of Coronavirus was about 2%, while the Seasonal Flu is 1%. We posted that article back in February.
Diamond Princess
Then we brought you another article, The Coronavirus Fiasco where we pointed out the Coronavirus data from the Diamond Princess cruise ship. Remember, that was the ship with a Coronavirus “outbreak”. The ship was the perfect petri-dish as it was closed off from the outside world. Researchers found only 1% of the people on the Diamond Princess cruise ship died of Coronavirus.
Though the data became far more interesting. It revealed the ship’s passengers were “a largely elderly population, in which the death rate from COVID-19 is much higher”. We all know that, those who are older with chronic health problems are more susceptible to severe illness from Coronavirus, just like they are more susceptible to the Seasonal Flu.
Researchers then performed more calculations.
Projecting the Diamond Princess mortality rate onto the age structure of the U.S. population, the death rate among people infected with Covid-19 would be 0.125%.
The data clearly indicates, Coronavirus would have an estimated mortality rate of around .125% among the general U.S. population which is less than the Seasonal Flu. Yet, this data went ignored by the government and mainstream media as they beat their drums of fear.
That .125% number perfectly aligns with this study from USC-LA County.
USC-LA County Study: COVID-19 Mortality Rate Around 0.1% – 0.2%
Here is the damning report right from LA County’s website.
Based on results of the first round of testing, the research team estimates that approximately 4.1% of the county’s adult population has antibody to the virus. Adjusting this estimate for statistical margin of error implies about 2.8% to 5.6% of the county’s adult population has antibody to the virus- which translates to approximately 221,000 to 442,000 adults in the county who have had the infection. That estimate is 28 to 55 times higher than the 7,994 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported to the county by the time of the study in early April. The number of COVID-related deaths in the county has now surpassed 600.
So out of 221,000 to 442,000 adults who had Coronavirus, only 600 died.
ABC News adds to the report providing information from Dr. Barbara Ferrer, director of the L.A. County Department of Public Health. She adds,

The data suggests the county’s mortality rate is around 0.1% or 0.2% of true infections.
That means only .1% to .2% of those infected with Coronavirus died from it. That information perfectly aligns with the data we just discussed concerning the Diamond Princess cruise ship.
