A Drag Queen Pastor, Pope Downplays Sin, California Abortion Sanctuary

A Pastor dressing in drag, the Pope downplaying sin, and California’s plan to become an abortion sanctuary if Roe v. Wade is overturned…

Such thoughts were once inconceivable.

Today, these thoughts not only exist, but they form the basis of mainstream society. A society that is so perverse, you will find multitudes of people agreeing with such beliefs.

Worse yet, you will find multitudes of Christian sympathizers.

If this was not bad enough, all of these headlines have surfaced in less than a week.

A Pastor Dressed In Drag For An HBO Show

Pastor Craig Duke, formerly of Newburgh United Methodist Church near Evansville, Indiana thought it was a good idea to dress in drag for an HBO show.

Duke outfitted himself in a pink wig, lipstick, colored nails, and stood before a pulpit singing homosexual praises.

Duke does not seem to be a homosexual himself, he has a wife. Yet, Duke felt it was acceptable to dress in drag in order to reach out and convert the homosexual community.

Duke would say,

“My message all along has been: ‘God loves you, period, as you are, where you are.’ Not, ‘God loves you if —.’ God loves you unconditionally, and that hasn’t changed.”

Religion News

God loves us, yes, this is true.

God loves us so much, He sent His only Begotten Son into the world to perish on the cross for our sins, (John 3:16). Notice, perish for our sins.

That does not mean we can continue our sin and be accepted by God.

In fact, if we do not repent and change our ways, we are condemned to death. It’s truly one of the most basic and fundamental facts about Christianity, (Revelation 21:8).

Moreover, God hates homosexuality.

How Duke could look past that and call himself a pastor is beyond me.

I realize we all fall short, however, promoting sinful behavior is certainly not acceptable to God. That is Duke’s error here, promoting sin, making that sin seem palatable to God.

Homosexuality is so despised by God, He wiped out Sodom and Gomorrah.

How could Duke miss that?

You are probably wondering, what was the goal of the show on HBO…

The Stanford Advocate explains,

The HBO series Duke participated in follows three drag performers – Shangela Laquifa Wadley, Eureka O’Hara and Bob the Drag Queen – as they travel to small towns across the country transforming locals into drag queens and putting in a performance. The show is meant to inspire acceptance and inclusion for the LGBTQ community.

So there pastor Duke was helping to promote and transform people into drag queens. That is helping along sin all the while trying to say God loves sinners as they are.

If that were the case, God would have never sent His Son to perish for you and I.

He would have simply, accepted you “as you are”.

The most startling aspect of this story is the fact that Duke was not fired from his position. He stepped down and is taking a leave of absence, with pay. It’s most likely, the Methodist Church will simply shuffle him off to a different church.

For the congregants who have issue with Duke’s practices, maybe its time to leave that church…

Pope Francis, ‘Sins Of The Flesh’ Aren’t That ‘Serious’

When Pope Francis is not busy backing up homosexuals, he is busy making a mockery out of God’s Word. In an attempt to cover for an archbishop who was rumored to have a sexual relationship with a women, Francis said,

“Sins of the flesh are not the most serious,” adding that pride and hatred were “the most serious”.

The Times

So that makes it okay?

Hey, one sin is of a lesser degree than another, so don’t sweat it says the pope.

This is bothersome since Francis leads over 1.34 billion Catholics on the planet.

Is it any wonder why our world is such a mess?

We make excuses for sin in the case of Francis and pastor Duke.

Do not forget the Methodist Church which continues to employ Duke as well.

These are some of the reasons why morality in our world is almost non-existent.

Instead of standing up for God’s Word, we make excuses for God’s Word in order to fill the pews on Sunday. In order to ensure our little game can continue on and our coffers continue to be filled.

It’s greatly disturbing and truly makes one wonder, how much longer can this go on?

Then again, hundreds of years ago, the mega churches of the day brought heathen practices into the church in order to convert the pagans.

In the end, who was converted?

We can ask the same question today.

California Plans To Be Abortion Sanctuary

The abominable state of California is planning to become an abortion sanctuary if the Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade next year. The idea would include the state paying for travel, lodging, and abortion procedures for women from other states who want to have an abortion.

It’s estimated that if the Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade, at least 24 states will ban abortion.

Imagine, someone being so desperate to murder their child that they travel to another state.

Yes, abortion is murder.

It is a sin, regardless of what some religious leader may tell you.

The state of California seems to support anything that is abominable these days. It’s a state where sin is placed in a positive light, and its taxpayers foot the bill of perversion.

Today, Tomorrow, And Forever

As I thought about these stories while writing this article, you know what disturbs me the most?

We only live in the now.

We only consider today, never thinking about God’s Eternal Plan of Salvation. Instead, we wake up each day wondering how much money we can make. What we are going to eat and do, without giving God or life much thought.

I mean, how many people just stop and ask themselves…

  • Why are we here?
  • Who put us here?

No, instead we rush through the week so we can get good and toasted during the weekend. Just to wake up on Monday and do it all over again. To hell with anyone getting in the way of a good time or telling us what is right or wrong.

The now is what matters.

That’s the thought most people have today.

Yet, Christians should know better, but our religious leaders have blinded us to the truth.

They will teach us all sorts of things.

They will condone perversion or bend Scripture to fit their version of God’s Plan. Leading the masses into yet another false belief, without those masses ever realizing they are deceived.

Instead, they become attached to these religious figures and uphold them as if they were God Himself. I suppose, we may never learn, until Christ finally Returns, or we return to Him.

My words of caution…

If you attend a church where:

  • The congregants constantly ask what the pastor said, instead of what the Bible said.
  • Where you cannot question the pastor or they go against Scripture unquestioned.
  • Where the pastor teaches contrary to the Bible.

Don’t walk away, run away, as fast as you can.

So the next time you are directed to only listen to the pastor, unquestioned. The next time a pastor says something contrary to the Bible, though it may sound sweet…

Remember this.

1 Timothy 1:9-10
9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;

Those Scriptures cover a lot of ground.

Those Scriptures define what is right and wrong.

Those Scripture explain who will, and who will not be found in God’s Everlasting Kingdom.

You cannot be accepted “as you are”, you must do it God’s Way.
