“Human Fraternity” Calls for Global Day of Prayer: Includes Pope, Grand Imam

The Higher Committee of Human Fraternity (HCHF) is calling May 14th a global day of prayer for all faiths to unite and ask God to remove the Coronavirus Pandemic from us.

Human Fraternity Calls for Global Day of Prayer

Judge Mohamed Abdel Salam, Secretary-General of the Committee (HCHF) said,

“The overwhelming response with this call for prayer from leaders and peoples around the world is a true testament to human solidarity and grants us hope in achieving global unity based on human fraternity principles for the safety, security and health of all mankind.”

The Committee issued a joint statement saying,

“Each one, from wherever they are and according to the teachings of their religion, faith, or sect, should implore God to lift this pandemic off us and the entire world, to rescue us all from this adversity”.

According to the multitude of different religions out there. Are all those religions and faiths correct?

They added, we should ask God,

“To inspire scientists to find a cure that can turn back this disease, and to save the whole world from the health, economic, and human repercussions of this serious pandemic”.

That sounds a lot like world peace and unity if you ask me. Even the United Nations which has called for world peace and unity chimed in.

United Nations Shows Support For Global Prayer Day

The UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres also showed support for the Committee’s call to prayer saying,

“In difficult times, we must stand together for peace, humanity & solidarity. I join His Holiness Pope Francis (@Pontifex) and the Grand Imam of Al Azhar Sheikh Ahmed Al Tayeb in their support for the Prayer for Humanity this 14 May – a moment for reflection, hope, and faith.”

There Is Only One God

This global religious committee is calling for global unity, safety, security and good health for all of mankind. They hope to achieve that by asking every faith to call on god, “according to the teachings of their religion,” to remove the COVID-19 pandemic from the world.

I hate to break it to these gentlemen, but there is only one God. How can we all call on our own god and expect anything to be fixed, much less an overblown virus?

This reminds me of Paul when he was by Mars hill.

Act 17:23
For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.

I mean these religious boys are calling for the world to pray to their god no matter who or what he is.

Is that not laughable?

I find it amusing myself, especially when the Bible told us this would happen. You are living through it, butter and salt that popcorn if your health allows.

The fact of the matter is pretty simple here…

There is only one God, and His name is Jehovah, (Psalms 83:18). There is only one way to be heard by Him or saved. Through His only begotten Son Jesus Christ, (John 3:16).
