Competitiveness is about more than how U.S.-headquartered companies fare against other companies in global merger and acquisition bids.

So what is this all about?
It is about making sure that governments have stable tax systems that raise sufficient revenue to invest in essential public goods and respond to crises, and that all citizens fairly share the burden of financing government.
It is about coordination between governments in order to tax the people. It is about setting a minimum corporate tax across the globe in order to keep companies from bouncing from one nation to the other.
This minimum global corporate income tax would not be levied by any global governing body. Instead, it would be an agreement between nations to set their own income tax to a globally agreed level.
Yellen continues,
We are working with G20 nations to agree to a global minimum corporate tax rate that can stop the race to the bottom.
As in, removing competition between nations by having one single agreed upon corporate tax rate.
This is simply global government continuing to rise from the people. Nations are working together to make the world a better place we are told. In the end, it never works out for the betterment of the people. I think the COVID-19 pandemic has shown us that.
