Always Fight For What Is Right

Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.

Isaiah 1:17

I often say, “Always fight for what is right”.

Do you know why I say that?

God wants us to do what is right. God is everything that is right and true, and we are to share His Message with the entire world, (Mark 16:15, Acts 10:36).

I want to point something out to you.

This word “judgment” even means “justice”.

God wants each and every one of us to seek justice. God loves justice, and He honors those who follow His Word. He also wants us to “relive the oppressed”, and today, there are many of us who are oppressed by our governments.

Now God did not send us these words for no reason.

God sent them to you and I so we would apply them to our lives. God sent us these words so we would enforce them here on earth. When His Word is enforced in the world, it removes opportunity from the wicked.

It leaves no room for them to plot evil against us.

However, when we sidestep His Word, then it opens the door for the wicked. Essentially, by failing to apply these words to our lives, we invite the devil into our homes, communities, and nations, (James 4:7).

Having the attitude, “Someone else will stand up”, “I can’t change anything”, and “It’s God’s plan” will simply not get it done.

If we all thought that way,

  • Who would stand up for what is right?
  • Who would share Christ’s message with the world?

You know, those attitudes are excuses, and they are a big reason why the world is so messed up today. We have lost our integrity and honor to do what is right. We have become spiritually lazy.

Look, no matter what nation you live in, you feel some sort of push against you. You can feel and see your rights as a citizen, human, and Christian continue to evaporate.

It’s not going to let up, certainly not if we play the pass the buck game.

Listen to Scripture.

Ephesians 5:1
Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;

Followers” is “imitators”.

We are to imitate God.

That means we are to be like Him and His Son Jesus Christ. We are to seek justice for ourselves, our families, our communities, and our nations. We can only accomplish that by standing up for what is right and true by God.

My friends, never be afraid to be that voice in the room who shouts for what is right. Never be afraid to be that person who leads or forms a group of like-minded individuals.

Alone our voice is small, but together, our voice is thunderous.

We have power in numbers.

How about more Scripture?

It’s the only truth and guidance we really have in this world.

James 4:17
Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

When you know you and your family are being put under someone’s wicked thumb. You have a duty to correct that. You have a duty to “seek justice”. When we do not correct evil, it allows more of it, and that extinguishes good. That is why James spoke these words.

Be comforted, be encouraged.

Proverbs 11:3
The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.

The integrity of the righteous will guide them.

I want to define the word “integrity” so we can really wrap our mind around this.

The quality of being honest and having strong moral principles.

If we truly have strong morals, those rooted in God’s Word, then our integrity will guide us. Along with God’s ever helping hands.

We know in our heart of hearts, things in this world are spinning out of control. Yet, that is never a reason not to stand up and do what is right. There is never a good reason to be idle and watch wickedness take over.

As the famous saying goes,

The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.

We are seeing evil abound these days. Even in the freest of nations. This is all due to the evil that has overcome us. Many of our nations have forgotten God, and this has also led to our demise.

Yet, our integrity as individuals must always shine.

Our morals that are rooted in God must always display themselves.

Proverbs 11:8
The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead.

That is a promise.

Those who stand with God may find themselves very unpopular with the world.

Do you really care?

Personally, I would rather be popular with God instead of popular with men. This world is very temporary my friends, but the decisions you make or do not make are very permanent.

God is keeping score, He is noting who the warriors are that He can count on.

Don’t let Him down.
