As The World Falls Apart, Remember…

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Psalms 23:4

It seems these days, the only news is the bad news. If you turn on the TV, there it is. Pick up your phone, ding, a new alert, more bad news. Jump in the car for a ride to get away from it all, then the radio provides, you guessed it, more bad news.

It seems, bad news in some form constantly surrounds us.

We live in a fallen world.

We live in a world that continues to reject God a little more each day. The more society pushes God out of our world, the more wickedness quickly replaces Him. Satan is that wickedness who replaces God, Satan is “the god of this world”, (2 Corinthians 4:4).

Is it any wonder why our world is such a continual and perpetual disaster?

When we push God out, there Satan is waiting to fill the void, (Matthew 12:43-45).

Satan fills that void by removing God some more. Then Satan ensures his deeds and desires seem righteous, fun, and exciting to mankind, (Isaiah 5:20). Satan’s deeds go completely contrary to God’s, but the world rarely takes notice as they enjoy their sinful pleasures.

The world rarely takes notice, as the world lost sight of God and what is considered, Godly. Instead, the world has its own moral compass these days which is the exact opposite of God’s.

Though, it still looks like a compass.

As this spiritual switch persists, it begins to drag Christians down.

The more this occurs, the more we begin to feel, alone.

The more we begin to feel as if we are walking in “the valley of the shadow of death” ourselves.

These days, Christians are mocked for their faith by the world. Something Scripture told us would occur, (2 Peter 3:3-4).

These days, families strive and fight with one another about religion, politics, and just about any, bad news.

These days, Christians fight and bicker with one another over just about anything, all for the sake of an argument that causes friction and division between brothers and sisters in Christ.

How can we forget Christ’s ever wise words?

“If a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand”.

Mark 3:25

As the world attacks Christians, Christians attack Christians.

What a smile Satan must have on his face these days.

If Christian families and friends cannot stand together, how can we stand against our enemy which is continually dividing us from one another?

So there we have, more bad news that we must think about and consider.

In all of this, one thing is certain, one thing is true…

When you can no longer count on friends.

When you can no longer count on family.

When you can no longer count on Christians.

Never forget, God has always been there waiting for you to count on Him.
