Do You Treat Others How You Want To Be Treated?

“Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.”

Matthew 7:12

We find this message all throughout the Bible, a message that comes from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

However, how often do we apply these words of wisdom to our life?

Self-Righteous Hypocrites

As Christians, we not only believe in Jesus, but we must apply the entire Bible to our lives. This can be difficult at times, if we are not careful, we can become a bit self-righteous…

You know, the times when we are quick to point out the faults of others, without looking in the mirror. Then, some of us are quick to put on religious acts during church service, yet when we leave church, we act as if we are a part of the world.

We lie, cheat, and steal to get ahead, even at the cost of our family members and friends. We do this as if we are only Christian on Sunday. We are quick to do things we would condemn someone else for doing, as if it’s okay because we did it.

Friends, that is not the way of a true Christian.

That is the way of someone who is pretending to be a Christian, as if they participate in a Sunday club.

Well, I have news for you folks…

You may be able to fool men, but you cannot fool God. Further, God cannot and will not use people like that. God needs men and women He can count on. He needs men and women who will stand by Him and His Word and treat others how they want to be treated.

God will not use a self-righteous hypocrite.

If you fall into this category, you might want to get your stuff together real quick. Do not forget, not everyone who claims to be a Christian will be near Christ.

Christ Will Dismiss False Christians

Remember what Jesus will tell many in the religious community when He returns?

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Matthew 7:23

Iniquity is ‘wickedness, unrighteousness, and a violation of law.’

A violation of God’s Law.

The most important law of all.

When we fall short of God’s Law, we become a sinner. When we lie, cheat, and steal from others to better ourselves, that is a violation of God’s Law. He cannot and will not use Sunday Service Christians. Those who only show righteousness one day of the week.

Think about it.
