Jesus Has Prepared A Place For You

In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

John 14:2

This world, this place we call home can be so cruel and dark. Yet, it’s so reassuring and comforting to know Jesus has promised us a place in God’s Kingdom. A promise that is echoed throughout Scripture, (Daniel 7:22).

However, Jesus did not prepare a place for everyone. Not everyone is going to obtain this Everlasting Kingdom, (1 Corinthians 6:9). Only those who do God’s Work. Only those who live according to the Bible. Only those who stand by God will obtain this Kingdom.

Jesus tells us,

I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 14:6

We have to come to Jesus, and accept Jesus into our heart, mind, and soul in order to have a home in God’s Kingdom. While man will rip us off and break their promises, God does not, and He cannot break His promise to you, (Hebrews 6:18).

If you stand with Jesus, it is assured, you have a place in God’s Kingdom. No one else can make such a promise to you, much less keep it.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

John 14:3

When Jesus left earth after becoming our sacrifice, after becoming our Passover Lamb, He went to Heaven and sat at the right hand of God, (Mark 16:19). He has set everything in order for our arrival, either to Heaven, or when He appears on earth.

Look at the promise in this, wherever Jesus is, we will be there with Him as well. It is one thing to read that verse, it is quite another to dwell on it, and really think about what that means.

While this world continues to become confusing and dark, know and understand. One day, those of us who stand for God will not only live forever in perfect health, but we will be reunited with family and friends. We will obtain a part of God’s Kingdom and walk with Jesus forever.
