The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places.
Habakkuk 3:19
The LORD in all upper case is “Jehovah” (YHVH), our Heavenly Father.
He is our strength, and He always lifts us up when we walk with Him, (Isaiah 41:10, see: Footprints In The Sand).
A “hind” is a doe, they bounce through the forest swiftly with little effort. When we are on God’s side that is how we walk through this world, though there will be some speed bumps in life.
However, when you stand firmly with God, you will find that obstacles move out of your way.
‘Walk upon high places,’ this is symbolic of safety and protection. You can think about a walled city. The inhabitants of that city are not only protected from the enemy, but they can take aim at the enemy from above.
All of this applies to you, if you stand with God and walk through life using His Word as your guidebook.
