For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39, answers verse 35
As we continue our trek down the narrow path of life, we always find some obstacle in our way. Sometimes the obstacles are small, while other times they are very big.
These obstacles seem difficult to navigate as we approach them, even impossible at times. Yet, these verses remind us, if we stay focused on God, absolutely nothing can separate us from Him.
Now, this does not mean we have a free pass through life. Overcoming obstacles will always require work, effort, and faith on our part, but we can accomplish all things through Christ, (Philippians 4:13).
That is our takeaway here.
Jesus told us walking through this world was going to be tough. In fact, He promised us, if we stand with Him, and against the world, the world will hate us for it, (John 15:18-21).
However, He also said, Blessed are those who endure such trials and tribulations for His sake, (Matthew 5:11).
Why?
…For great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
Matthew 5:12
Friends, this life is a very temporary thing. The prophets who suffered on earth are now back with our Father in Heaven.

I realize those thoughts do not make the obstacles in life any less real, but this should be a reminder, to let you know, this is not our true home. Our true home is with God here on earth, to live in a Paradise with Him that will last forever, (Revelation 21:3-4).
So remember that, do not become distracted by the obstacles in life. Do not get distracted by everything the world has to offer you. Do not allow obstacles and distractions to take your eyes off Jesus as Peter did, (Matthew 14:28-31).
So I say, bring on the obstacles, as I know we will overcome them all through Jesus Christ. I know no matter how difficult the obstacle may be, God is right there by our side no matter where life takes us, (Joshua 1:9).
We Are More Than Conquerors
I love verse 37 which says in part,
We are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
“Conquerors” means,
Gain a decisive victory, more than conquer.
That is why Romans 8:38-39 provided us with ten things that cannot separate us from God. Through Christ, we will gain a “decisive victory” over any enemy and obstacle that crosses our path.
1 Corinthians 15:57 should have just come over your mind. These are additional promises from God, remember them, you can take them to the bank.
