For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.
As the days go by, our world becomes more of a mess. Less God, less truth, more lies, more wickedness. At times I wonder, how much longer can this famine go on before there is no truth left, (Amos 8:11)? Then I remind myself, one way or another, we are almost home.
Hebrews 10:37 is one of many verses that tell us Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior will return one Day, but which Day?
Only God knows the answer to that question, (Matthew 24:36). Yet, we continually see the signs Jesus told us about coming to pass. Little by little, day by day.
While I enjoy each and everyday of my life, I feel for those who are far less fortunate than myself. Personally, I take comfort in knowing this world is only temporary.
In fact, it is not even a flash compared to the Eternity we look forward to with God. One day, we will live in peace, perfect in health, and walk with God. It will not be a temporary moment, or last for just a lifetime. It will be forever, boundless by time.
Day by day, we come closer to that reality. No matter what happens, one day, we all will get to enjoy that.
Friends, we are almost home.
