Who Shall Separate Us From The Love Of Christ?

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

Romans 8:35

I want you to think about this verse today.

In fact, read it once more, slowly, before you continue.

The fact of the matter is, if we hold the faith of Christ, and do not let go, no one can separate us from His Love. No one can separate us from His Word and the promises it brings.

  • No person.
  • No government.
  • No cause or fight.

The Christians of the past endured many things, even death for the sake of Christ. Jesus told us our walk through life would be difficult as well, if we follow Him. In fact, He told us if we reject the world for His sake, the world would not love us, but hate us as it hated Him, (Matthew 5:11, John 15:19).

I thought about these things as I read an email from a reader this morning. This world is beginning to trouble many people, even here in America, where troubles were always in distant lands.

We live in a new time now, a new day and era. We live in an era of overbearing governments where they and corporations force us to consider or do things against our will.

So as your worries and concerns for this life begin to overcome you.

Stand grounded in the faith.

Colossians 1:23
If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

If we do that, we are presented “holy and unblameable and unreproveable” before our Father, (Colossians 1:22).

Before you allow the stress and cares of this world to overcome you, I want you to remember what is really important in life. Believing, accepting, and living by the Words of Jesus Christ. That is the most important thing you can do.

No matter what decision you may make in life, as long as you do not compromise that one thing, you will be blessed by God. You become a child of God and an heir to the promise of Eternal Life. So no matter what you do, never ever compromise on that.

Let’s read a few more verses.

Romans 8:38-39
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

This is our reminder to do what is right by God.

This is our reminder that tells us what is truly important in life.

This is our reminder to separate those things that concern the flesh, from those things that concern the spirit.
