The Wicked Don’t Desire The Knowledge Of God

As I read the book of Job the other night, I found a few verses that I want to share with you.

Job 21:14
Therefore they say unto God, Depart from us; for we desire not the knowledge of thy ways.

Doesn’t that really paint a picture of society today?

Continually we see our world essentially tell God, ‘Buzz off, we don’t need your knowledge.’ Interestingly enough, Proverbs 1:7 says, “the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”

Look what Job observes next…

Job 21:15
What is the Almighty, that we should serve him? and what profit should we have, if we pray unto him?

The people know the answer to that question, eternal life, but they choose to disregard God and His promises. It just goes to show us, there’s always been rotten people in the world. It’s really ugly these days, but there’s always been those who hate and reject God.

So when you see it on the news, in your neighborhoods and communities. Just know, it’s always been there, but be thankful you are not a part of it. You’ll be rewarded greatly one day for the sacrifices you make each and everyday for the Lord.

As for the wicked…

Job 21:30
That the wicked is reserved to the day of destruction? they shall be brought forth to the day of wrath.
