Bible Question and Answer
Welcome to our bi-weekly post Bible Question, Answer and Discussion where we provide Bible verses, answers and advice to the questions and concerns you have. During the course of the last two weeks readers have submitted their questions and today we are going to answer one of them. So please join us and feel free to chime in on the discussion in the comments section below this post.

Before we get into this week’s questions we would like to point out that you are helping to spread the Word of God by your continued submission of questions. Because of your ongoing participation these Q&A posts have been read thousands of times. Without your participation this section of our site would not exist. So if you have a Biblical or non-Biblical question you would like to ask, submit it now for our next edition of “Bible: Question, Answer and Discussion“.

Question 1:

Name: Diane
Question: When Ms. Davis stood against homosexuality in Kentucky, I found it interesting that the news media, however briefly, began personal attacks on Ms. Davis regarding her marriage and divorce status.  This led me to thinking about being called to testify during the reign of the anti-Christ.  I know God wipes our slates clean upon repentance, but as humans, we still remember our sins.  Hopefully, this will make us smarter and not commit the sin again.  I know not to bring the sins of the past to God for re-repentance because we are forgiven.  Does this mean that Satan will also remember our sins and use this as one tool to try and make us become an apostate?  We all have committed sins we are ashamed of and I know the media will be non-stop at attempting to discredit  us as evidenced by Ms. Davis’ attacks.  I also know that Satan stands before God accusing us unceasingly.  I can not find any references that specifically address this probability and want to be spiritually prepared for any onslaught by Satan.  (I also know not to premeditate, but want to be strong biblically for reassurance.)

Name: Brandon T. Ward
Answer: Diane thank you for the question and you are correct. When we truly repent from our sins our Father cleans our slate as if the sin never took place (Acts 3:19). We can always count on Satan to find our flaws and exploit them and even ensure our Father knows about them as well (Revelation 12:10).

Satan will try to attack the very righteous of the flock as we can document in Job 8. I think it will be beneficial for you to review this past Bible Q&A on Job and Satan.

Satan will do whatever he can to try and discredit us. Satan is going all in when he arrives on the earth playing Christ. Satan will make fire come down from Heaven onto the earth in the sight of men (Revelation13:13-14).  The point is he will do whatever it takes to bring as many with him to the grave as possible.

Question 2:

Name: Virginia
Question: Was Moses father-in-law a Kenite or simply lived among them?

Name: WEB Staff
Answer: Virgina thank you for the question.

Moses father in law was named “Reuel” which means “friend of God” while his title was “Jethro” which means “his excellence(Exodus 2:18, 3:1). Reuel certainly was not of the blood line of the Kenites, he simply lived among them.

Reuel was the priest of Midian which means, “a son of Abraham; also his country and (collectively) his descendants.” By that we can determine that Reuel was of the blood line of Abraham through his wife Keturah (Genesis 25:1-2).

Question 3:

Name: Bob
Question: Who or what are the evil spirits in this world that possess people? Are they the spirits of the fallen angels or are they the spirits of the 1/3 that the Devil took with him when he split from God?

Name: Brandon T. Ward
Answer: Thank you for the question Bob.

The fallen angels, meaning the angels “which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day,(Jude 1:6). As you can read from our Father’s Letter God has reserved these angels in chains until the end and at that time they will be destroyed. They have already made their decision and they defiled God and will pay the price for doing so. So the evil spirits that roam the earth are not these.

I want to ensure it is clear to everyone there is a difference between an Angel and a Spirit. You and I are human and we have a fleshly form, but we have spirits. The Angels have a heavenly form, there bodies have mass just like ours, but they do not get sick, old or die and of course they have a spirit as well. No evil angels roam the earth, only the spirits as you pointed out.

With respect to the third, I want to make it clear Satan did not take them, they followed Satan willingly. We have a study on this topic titled, “Satan’s Sin“.

There is no way to document this in the Bible, but it is my opinion this third have been born into the flesh along with all of the other Heavenly Host and most of them exist today.

By looking at our world that is not far fetched. It is the entire purpose of this age of flesh for us all to make up our mind who we will follow, God or Satan born innocent of woman in the flesh. Those fallen angels decided not to do that. So to answer your question, the wicked angels who possess people naturally would be those who are on Satan’s side and that would consist of the third you mentioned.

We would like to thank our Father for giving us this platform in order to spread His most precious Word. We would also like to thank our readers for submitting their questions and giving us the opportunity to share them with the audience.

If you would like to ask a question submit it for the next edition of this post. Additionally, you can continue and add to the discussion in the comments section below.

  1. Brandon you might want to check out some sources I have recently read for info on what constitutes evil spirits and where they come from: according to Michael Lake (author of “The Shinar Directive”), Steve Quayle (“Gensis 6 Giants”), and Tom Horn (author of “Exo-Vaticana” and other books) and others using Biblical sources, these evil spirits are the spirits of dead giants (also called Nephilim and Rephaim), the giants being the offspring of human females and the fallen angels (“sons of God” in Genesis 6). Supposedly the dead bodies of the Nephilim inhabit some underworld known as Tartarus, but their spirits do not necessarily inhabit it also, and can be called up from various sources. But you are correct in that the evil spirits are not the spirits of the angels who fell with Satan. These writers may be incorrect, but if they are not from the fallen angels then I cannot imagine where else these spirits would come from…I don’t think witches, say, could just conjure these things up on the fly (witches just aren’t that powerful…not even Alleister Crowley was powerful enough to just create that evil spirit of his called “Lam” out of nothing.

    • Thank you for the comment. We should note God’s Word and not man’s. There are so many authors who claim this or that to sell a book. Just reference God’s Word and we cannot go wrong. Remember a third of all of the souls God created followed Satan in the first earth age. There is a lot of evil unfortunately. You can read our study, “the world that then was the first earth and” along with “Satans’s Sin” to gain a better understanding of these topics.

    • DebL,
Stop reading all those books, they are crap written by man for money, evil intent to lead people astray or just out of stupidity. If you want to know truth read God’s word. Man has continually led mankind astray over and over again, do not get caught up in the words and traditions of man. Follow God. God wrote a letter to you explaining everything you need to know, it is called the bible, read that. And not just any bible, read the King James Version, get a Strong’s concordance so you can translate the words for your self. The truth will set you free from the bondage lies have imprisoned you in.

    • And *CHRIST* said: ““But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you *ALL* things.” Mark 13:23.

      Don’t you believe Him, DebL?

*****Jesus is telling us that there will be *no* excuses when He returns. Why? because He has told you everything that will happen in His Word. It is written there and given in many different witnesses, If you have refused to study His Word…then you have chosen to *reject* His Word. It simply doesn’t matter what your preacher or some other mere man says in some book, but what matters is what Christ said. Have you read His Word with understanding? Earnestly ask Him to give you understanding of His Word.

Matthew 7:7 “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:”

*****The subject is God’s Word, and your eye being able to see, or understand what is written in that Word. This is describing how you gain wisdom, and knowing God and His plan is wisdom. You have to go to that Word, before you can seek, and the knocking is the asking for help by the right sources. It is
keeping the Word in true perspective, and *rightly dividing* it for the message God is relating to us.
When you knock on His door, and ask Him, the Holy Spirit of God, will come in
and open your eyes of understanding, and He will reveal Himself to you.

If whatever you read, does *not* align with God’s Word…it’s mere fiction! PERIOD!

  2. Bob, the short answer is yes, the evil spirits and demons that possses people are the fallen angels, sometimes satan himself. They kept not their first estate in more ways than one, first they came down here and impregnated the daughters of Adam and now that they are locked away they project their spirits onto the earth.

  3. Bob…It’s good to see that our brothers and sisters in Christ, are searching out God’s Truths, seeking wisdom and understanding with intelligence. God must be proud of those who do…for there are *not* many who would do so today…many fall away in Apostasy from their professed beliefs instead. How *very unfortunate* that is…for it is written for these End days of this *Flesh* Dispensation:
Matthew 24:10-14 “And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. 11And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. 14And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”

I see that Brandon already did a great job in sharing that these “evil spirits” are on “Satan’s side”…if you or whomever will, are interested…you can read about them throughout God’s Word…where they are sometimes also called devils, demons, familiar spirits, unclean spirits, lying spirit…and of course the *BIG DADDY* of them all is SATAN! You can find them written of, in the Old and New Testament:
    Judges 9:23; Leviticus 17:7; 1 Kings 22:23; Deuteronomy 32:17; 2 Chronicles 11:15; Psalms 106:35-37; I Samuel 16:14; 1 Sam 18:10; I Samuel 16:141 Sam 19:9; and in the N.T Mark 6:7; Mark 9:17-25; Mark 9:38; Mark 16:9; Luke 4:33; Luke 8:33 among other Scriptures in the N.T.

*****In the case of Saul in 1 Samuel, referenced above…God did…*NOT*…send the EVIL SPIRIT to enter into Saul, but in the Hebrew text, He *ALLOWED* an evil spirit to enter into Saul. Evil spirits are of Satan the devil, and they can only enter into one that does not have the protection of God upon them. Evil spirits can give negative thoughts, and there are not as many of these evil spirits as people think that there are, but they do exist. However, these “evil spirits” know…that as soon as you wake up in your spiritual life, their life on earth is over…for God / Christ gave us power over them *all*…including *BIG DADDY SATAN*! Without Christ, demons can control your mind. Before we as *believers*…go to bed at night, order everything *negative* OUT of your life, and be happy; it is that easy in the Name of Christ Yeshua / Jesus…for it’s *HE* Who has that authority to send them packing!

May God / Christ…continue to bless, lead, guide, direct, touch and protect…all those who love, seek, teach, share and serve Him!
