Bible Question and Answer
Welcome to our bi-weekly post Bible Question, Answer and Discussion where we provide Bible verses, answers and advice to the questions and concerns you have. During the course of the last two weeks readers have submitted their questions and today we are going to answer some of them. So please join us and feel free to chime in on the discussion in the comments section below this post.

Before we get into this week’s questions we would like to point out that you are helping to spread the Word of God by your continued submission of questions. Because of your ongoing participation these Q&A posts have been read thousands of times. Without your participation this section of our site would not exist. So if you have a Biblical or non-Biblical question you would like to ask, submit it now for our next edition of “Bible: Question, Answer and Discussion“.

Question 1:

Name: Diane
Question: When Ms. Davis stood against homosexuality in Kentucky, I found it interesting that the news media, however briefly, began personal attacks on Ms. Davis regarding her marriage and divorce status.  This led me to thinking about being called to testify during the reign of the anti-Christ.  I know God wipes our slates clean upon repentance, but as humans, we still remember our sins.  Hopefully, this will make us smarter and not commit the sin again.  I know not to bring the sins of the past to God for re-repentance because we are forgiven.  Does this mean that Satan will also remember our sins and use this as one tool to try and make us become an apostate?  We all have committed sins we are ashamed of and I know the media will be non-stop at attempting to discredit  us as evidenced by Ms. Davis’ attacks.  I also know that Satan stands before God accusing us unceasingly.  I can not find any references that specifically address this probability and want to be spiritually prepared for any onslaught by Satan.  (I also know not to premeditate, but want to be strong biblically for reassurance.)

Name: Brandon T. Ward
Answer: Diane thank you for the question and you are correct. When we truly repent from our sins our Father cleans our slate as if the sin never took place (Acts 3:19). We can always count on Satan to find our flaws and exploit them and even ensure our Father knows about them as well (Revelation 12:10).

Satan will try to attack the very righteous of the flock as we can document in Job 8. I think it will be beneficial for you to review this past Bible Q&A on Job and Satan.

Satan will do whatever he can to try and discredit us. Satan is going all in when he arrives on the earth playing Christ. Satan will make fire come down from Heaven onto the earth in the sight of men (Revelation13:13-14).  The point is he will do whatever it takes to bring as many with him to the grave as possible.

Question 2:

Name: Virginia
Question: Was Moses father-in-law a Kenite or simply lived among them?

Name: WEB Staff
Answer: Virgina thank you for the question.

Moses father in law was named “Reuel” which means “friend of God” while his title was “Jethro” which means “his excellence(Exodus 2:18, 3:1). Reuel certainly was not of the blood line of the Kenites, he simply lived among them.

Reuel was the priest of Midian which means, “a son of Abraham; also his country and (collectively) his descendants.” By that we can determine that Reuel was of the blood line of Abraham through his wife Keturah (Genesis 25:1-2).

Question 3:

Name: Bob
Question: Who or what are the evil spirits in this world that possess people? Are they the spirits of the fallen angels or are they the spirits of the 1/3 that the Devil took with him when he split from God?

Name: Brandon T. Ward
Answer: Thank you for the question Bob.

The fallen angels, meaning the angels “which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day,(Jude 1:6). As you can read from our Father’s Letter God has reserved these angels in chains until the end and at that time they will be destroyed. They have already made their decision and they defiled God and will pay the price for doing so. So the evil spirits that roam the earth are not these.

I want to ensure it is clear to everyone there is a difference between an Angel and a Spirit. You and I are human and we have a fleshly form, but we have spirits. The Angels have a heavenly form, there bodies have mass just like ours, but they do not get sick, old or die and of course they have a spirit as well. No evil angels roam the earth, only the spirits as you pointed out.

With respect to the third, I want to make it clear Satan did not take them, they followed Satan willingly. We have a study on this topic titled, “Satan’s Sin“.

There is no way to document this in the Bible, but it is my opinion this third have been born into the flesh along with all of the other Heavenly Host and most of them exist today.

By looking at our world that is not far fetched. It is the entire purpose of this age of flesh for us all to make up our mind who we will follow, God or Satan born innocent of woman in the flesh. Those fallen angels decided not to do that. So to answer your question, the wicked angels who possess people naturally would be those who are on Satan’s side and that would consist of the third you mentioned.

We would like to thank our Father for giving us this platform in order to spread His most precious Word. We would also like to thank our readers for submitting their questions and giving us the opportunity to share them with the audience.

If you would like to ask a question submit it for the next edition of this post. Additionally, you can continue and add to the discussion in the comments section below.
