Should We Expect Satan To Appear Just As Christ Will?
Welcome to Bible Question and Answer, our bi-weekly series where we provide Bible verses, answers and advice to the questions and concerns you have. During the course of the last two weeks readers have submitted their questions and today we are going to answer one of them.
Question: As with most of us Christians that know we are in the Fig Tree Generation, we are watching everything in the world and seeing end of age prophecies coming into play:
We expect to see Satan as the anti-christ arrive pretending to be Jesus Christ. If Christians expect to witness the arrival of Our Lord and Savior coming in the clouds of angels then do we look for Satan to do the same.

Answer: Thank you for the question Chuck.
For those not aware, I believe Paul used the word “cloud” as a figure of speech in 1 Thessalonians 4:17.
In Hebrews 12:1 Paul talks about running a foot race and how he is surrounded by a “cloud of witnesses,” simply means, ‘a lot of people‘.
The subject of 1 Thessalonians 4 starting with verse 13 is where are the dead. The explanation given in the next few verses simply document how we gather back with Christ and those who have passed on before us.
Naturally, Jesus Christ is going to return with a mighty army of Saints, those who have passed on before us. It will appear as Paul said in Hebrews 12:1, a “cloud” of people.
We know from Revelation 12:9 that Satan and his angels are cast out of Heaven onto the earth by Michael at the Sixth Trumpet. Satan is going to do a good job of imitating Christ (for those who are not aware, the false messiah comes first) down to the very appearance of Christ as well.
