Name: Bob
Question: Many churches are now teaching the prosperity gospels where with Kingdom laws that you learn, you can and will become very prosperous. Where does the Bible teach these laws? And what are these laws?
Answer:Â Bob, thank you for the question.
I am not familiar with this teaching and must say it sounds very un-Christ like in my opinion. Christ told us to spread His Word to the world, not be concerned about getting rich.
It is true there are a lot of scriptures where our Father tells us if we follow His Word we will be blessed by Him. This does not mean great wealth though. Blessings are knowing our Father’s Word, having a family, friends and being healthy, having a roof over our head and something to eat, all of these things are blessings.
Exodus 20:12 tells us, we will have a long life if we honor our Father and Mother. While Christ Himself would tell us in John 15:16,
“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.“
This does not mean if we ask for a shiny new Corvette we are going to receive one.
What did Christ say?
We should go and bring forth fruit. Fruit are our works, our Father wants to see our good works and those works are expanding the Kingdom of God. Sharing His Word with our family and friends when we can and setting that Christian example each and every day we walk this earth.

Matthew 6:19-21
19 “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:”
20 “But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:”
21 “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”
This is so key in my opinion. Wherever our treasure is that is where our heart is.
Ephesians 1:3
3 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:”
Blessed us with what?
Gold and silver?
No.
Spiritual blessings and these my friends are the greatest. For those who follow and live by our Father’s Word, He has promised us that we would inherit something much greater than wealth, but our Father’s Kingdom, a Paradise of Peace that will last forever (Daniel 7:27, Revelation 21:7).
Now that my friends is incomparable to anything we could ever hope to gain here on earth.
