How We Answer Life’s Most Pressing Questions

How We Answer Life’s Most Pressing Questions

Matthew 7:7
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

Life brings us many questions, but we typically find few answers. Some questions we just cannot seem to answer, times of turmoil seem to bring this out the most. Yet, Matthew 7:7 offers the best advice we could ever hope to obtain.

When we find ourselves in those moments of uncertainty, those are the moments we must reach out to God more than ever to find the answers we are looking for. He is the one we Ask, He is the one we Seek after. As you can see, it takes effort on our part. We have to do the asking, and the seeking.

Then at times, we are led near our answer, maybe we even find it, or a part of it. Then more questions come along, or those pressing unanswered ones still swirl in our minds. That is when we have to Knock on God’s Door, sometimes it takes a lot of knocking.

However, when we do, God will open His Door to us…

What happens next?

Matthew 7:8
For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

That is a promise.

We can always take God’s Promises to the bank.¬†When God opens His Door to us, it is a spiritually uplifting moment. A moment when we obtain the answers to the questions we have so long sought after.

  1. Oh, definitely….I was raised as a Christian…But I had many questions. The denomination I was raised in had little answers to my questions, if any. So while I never wrote God out of the equation, I became very cynical. But little by little, a few things led me to this answer, and a few other questions led me to that answer. And then I finally figured out that every question was answered by GOD’S WORD!!! Amazing how long it took me to come to that conclusion. What a moron I was for years trying to seek out Man’s answers when God’s answers where RIGHT THERE for me, so easily accessed. Don’t beat yourself up if you don’t get it all at once…..We’re all different, and me being more stupid than most, it took me YEARS….But what I found is…seek HIS guidance, ask for HIS guidance…and it will be freely given to you. That’s hard for most people to process…but I promise you it’s the truth.

    • Jack, thank you and all the other commenters for being so positive and strong. I honestly cannot thank you enough for building here, and not dividing. For building and encouraging and not bringing down. You all are making an impact. I have received emails from people being encouraged. You all are making a difference. Everyone is helping in their own way. Thank you God.

  2. Brandon, reminds me of a song by Jeff Bates; “One day closer.” I’ve had 3 spinal surgeries in the last 2 months as a result of an unfortunate car accident- which resulted in a brief paralyses and numerous vertebrae fused(16). But for his Grace, I wouldn’t be walking or even in this flesh, but, there is a reason. I can only speculate as to why, but I’m one day closer to finding out why I’m still here. I’m pretty sure it’s because of His second Coming- I will help all those that I am able through the Tribulation(I certainly believe that I do not deserve to be one of the sealed elect- every saint has a past and every sinner has a future-I’m in the future category). If I’m right, I can only thank God for giving me that opportunity to do so, or if I’m wrong as to why He still has me here in the flesh, well, I’m one day closer to that question being answered by Him:-) Thank you for all you do in helping spread His Word, as it it written. May God Bless you and yours!!
