God TV is being investigated by the regulatory authority in charge of broadcasting in Israel for the heinous crime of… Sharing the Gospel.
God TV CEO Ward Simpson said,
“Proselytizing in Israel is a very touchy subject. You cannot try to convert Jews, you cannot try to make them become a Christian, which we aren’t anyway. Those things you can’t do and we won’t do.”
I am sure many Christians will be shocked to discover this.
Anytime you hear an Israeli politician on TV say the word “Bible”, Christians go wild. That sure helps gain political points with the Christian faithful, it also helps to ensure the United States continues to send over $3 billion in aid to Israel each year.
Many Christians believe Jews are God’s chosen people. I remember many years ago thinking, “chosen for what?” At the time I did not know what a Jew was or why I should care. Later I would find out they do not believe in Jesus, that day I knew something was not right with this scenario.
How can someone be chosen by God if they reject His Son?
