Question: I have a multi faceted question
Vs 3 who is this mighty king
Vs 5 who is the king of the South and the prince
Vs 6 who is the Kings daughter of the south
The reason I ask is the raiser of taxes come later in the chapter, do we know who this is?
Vs 21 then the vile one (satan) stands in his estate
I’m plowing for truth
Thanks Brandon for your website

Answer: Thank you for the question Mark and you are very welcome.
Historically verse 3 is talking about Alexander who would have been future to Daniel, but obviously past to us. As for verses 5-6 I believe Dr. Bullinger did a good job of explaining this which is past to us though some believe otherwise. If you do not have his Companion Bible I would recommend purchasing one.
I believe verses 20-21 are still future to us (Dr. Bullinger believes verse 20 is historical) and I would agree with you that the “vile one” is Satan himself who will reign on earth claiming to be Christ.
Please turn your Bible with me to,
20 “Then shall stand up in his estate a raiser of taxes in the glory of the kingdom: but within few days he shall be destroyed, neither in anger, nor in battle.”
I believe the “raiser of taxes” will be a global leader or entity that will place a global tax on the people. We are actually starting to see some of this today through the U.N.. It is important to note a tax does not necessarily need to be called a “tax” to qualify. Today they call taxes all sorts of things like: fees, surcharges, interest rates, etc. But they are all taxes. Please note the U.N. is only a face for the globalists, there are many other people and organizations that make up globalism.
21 “And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.”
In whose estate? In the estate of the “raiser of taxes” Satan will stand up. Satan is not going to stand up in place of one nations leader, this is a global situation.
There are a few events in scripture that occur just before the appearance of Satan and this is yet another. One thing is certain, Satan will not appear because all is well on earth. It is going to be absolute chaos and this will be the moment Satan appears on earth as he is cast from Heaven to heal the grievous wound to the political landscape on earth.
(At the top of our site mouse over “Resources” and click “Bible Resources”. Once that page loads click on “Companion Bible” which will take you to each book of the Bible in a PDF format which is essentially the Companion Bible. Then you can reference Dr. Bullinger’s work if you would like too, though we recommend purchasing the Companion Bible itself.)
Question: What does Isaiah 54:11 really mean and Revelations 21 verse 10?
Name: Brandon T. Ward
Answer: Thank you for the question Neal.
Please turn your Bible with me to,
11 “O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.”
In this verse our Father is talking to His people and making a promise to them. This promise will be realized when our Father comes to dwell with man on earth which occurs after the Millennium. In Revelation 21:10 we see a new Jerusalem coming down from Heaven. What a day that will be and it is this new city that will fulfill this promise in Isaiah. Please turn your Bible with me to,
19 “And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;”
Here we can see a part of that foundation is sapphires just as documented in Isaiah.
Question: Is cremation okay with God?
Name: Brandon T. Ward
Answer: Bill thank you for the question.
No where in God’s Word will we find anything stating cremation is a sin or that God frowns on it. Why? These flesh bodies are very temporary. Further, God never intended for us to dwell in the flesh and we only do so because of the fall of Satan in The First Earth Age. Satan’s fall brought about this age of flesh so we could make up our mind who we will follow, God or Satan.
The point is when our flesh bodies die, we are done with them. “God formed man of the dust of the ground” and when we die “then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it,” (Genesis 2:7, Ecclesiastes 3:20). Cremation or an ol casket, it does not matter either way in God’s eyes. I am sure our Father appreciates you being concerned with His feelings though Neal. Thank you.
Question: Hi Brandon, I love the new video format for teaching. And I love reading all the comments from my fellow brothers and sisters who seek Truth. I sometimes feel so alone in my walk with Father and this site feels like family!
Can u give clarification on the locust army? I understand that the army is comprised of the children of satan. How do the 4 stages of the locust relate to the army? What about the swarmers, consumers, and devourers. Are these the same army?
Name: Brandon T. Ward
Answer: Thank you for the question Martha and it is good to hear you enjoy the new format. I thank our Father for it and everything He has done for us. Without Him and His answered prayers this site certainly would not exist.
You are definitely not alone Martha. I think Revelation 10:9-10 has always been a great example for me personally as God has poured out His Word. The angel told John to eat up the little book and when he did “it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.” The Word of God reveals so much wisdom and knowledge for those with eyes to see and ears to hear it is certainly sweet as honey. However, the more we understand that in-depth truth it causes us to see how corrupt and wicked the world is which can make ones belly bitter. But I would not trade that truth for anything and I am sure everyone else feels the same.
I believe your question stems from some comments I made in our recent video.
To better understand the stages of the locust do some research on the stages of real locusts so you can better understand the nature of their progression.
For now let us reference some notes from Dr. Bullinger which is in the image to the right concerning Joel 1:4. You will note the four stages of the locust; Gnawer, Swarmer, Devourer and Consumer.
(For those new to this subject we are not talking about literal locusts. Our Father uses analogies and parables to explain things to us where we can understand a deeper meaning.)
Each of these denote a stage of the locust and we can think of this as maturity. We see this army has matured very much so in these latter days.
As the locust matures it causes more and more damage and when combined with other locusts the damage is devastating. Today we see this damage both physically in the form of politics, religion, economics and our education system. We can also see the damage being done spiritually as well.
The children of Satan are trampling down the earth and they are trying to remove all forms of Godliness. They are doing everything they can through their troops to destabilize the Middle East and the rest of the nations who are not a part of the globalist structure. Syria and Iran should come to mind. The whole ISIS story is a facade, one the children of Satan created through their useful idiots. What is happening is these “terrorists” are being funded by nations like ours to destabilize Syria and other nations in order to bring those nations under the globalist umbrella. ISIS is not some grassroots movement.
When we think about an army it is important to consider the rank of individuals. All members of an army hold different ranks and they all have different duties. I like to think about the locust armies rank as follows:
Why would I call our Father the leader of this locust army? Please turn your Bible with me to,
25 “And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.”
Our Father states at least once more in the book of Joel that this is His army. Satan really is pathetic, he cannot even be the boss of his own people. Why? Our Father is always in control, Satan only controls what our Father will allow him too. Now turn to,
4 “The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run.”
This should remind you of Revelation 9 and the locust army spoken of there.
7 “They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks:”
The locust army when it is absolute will not break their ranks. They will follow their orders completely.
8 “Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded.”
This signifies immortality and can only apply to the wicked angels Satan will bring to the earth with him. This is why I said, ‘when the locust army is absolute’. This will occur when Revelation 12:7-9 becomes a reality, when Satan and his angels are cast from Heaven to earth. They will claim to be Christ and His angels, but we know that is a blasphemous lie.
In closing, since we understand our Father controls the locust army should we be concerned about them? Not in the least. Our Father has promised us the locust army can only harm “those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads,” (Revelation 9:5). If you are sealed with our Father’s Word, this locust army cannot harm a single hair on your head.
This is and will be a great spiritual war, a war where we suite up with the Gospel Armour in order to finish the good fight, the Epic Battle against Satan.
We would like to thank our Father for giving us this platform in order to spread His most precious Word. We would also like to thank our readers for submitting their questions and giving us the opportunity to share them with the audience. If you would like to ask a question submit it for the next edition of this post and continue the discussion by leaving a comment below. Previous editions of Bible Q&A can be found in our archive.
